How does Izzy qualify as a Rookie?

His rookie year was 2007, which was stellar!

Leaves a few questions I think as with the Rookie

How does Thurston make the final 8 for Golden Boot (ahead of Prince) yet doesn't get Halfback of the year?
Now I don't think Thurston had a good year and shouldn't be getting the raps he currently is, but it is a little concerning that he out rates Prince, Cronk, and yes even Orford

Just rewards for Slater.

Proves the NRL end of year awards are as creditable as the poster "peter"

how the hell do manly not get more players?...sure we got the minor premiership, but we ended up on the same amount of points and they smashed us in the GF...surely they would have a few.

how does james graham get front row...ive never heard of him and doubt very highly that he did better then lima this year.

all these awards are BS.

congrats to slater and the other storm boys....but the awards are crap...just like the dally m.

Super Cronk, James Graham is a gun.  Front rower for England... i'd kill to see him in a Storm jersey!

The rookie thing confused me, but because it is for the timeframe Oct 07-Oct 08 then I assume he just snuck in.

And Captain Klutz... how does it show the NRL awards were wrong?  Slater would have won the dally m but he lost votes because of his suspension... means they were pretty accurate IMO

Who won this last year?
And if Slater gets the golden boot that would make back to back for storm players. interesting to see how many times this has happened.
"Better to have Won then Lost, than to have never won at all" Arrogant, but true hahahaha

I'm guessing you mean the International RL player of the year award ? since Cam won the Golden Boot last year.
This was the inaugural IRL player award - Storm 1st again  ;-)
