Storm to hold LIVE broadcast for Brisbane game

Just got this from the club
STORM FLASH MEDIA RELEASE [17 SEPTEMBER, 2008]


Watch Storm v Broncos LIVE

For all Melbourne Storm fans who can’t get to Brisbane to watch Saturday night’s semi-final against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, and don’t want to wait until 11.25pm to watch it on free-to-air television, don’t fear.

Melbourne Storm, in conjunction with Channel 9, will be hosting a live-site at the Water Front City Piazza, Docklands this Saturday night.

Come and watch as the Melbourne Storm attempt to knock the Broncos out of the 2008 NRL finals race, and advance to the preliminary final against the Sharks in Sydney next Friday night.

Details as follows:

WHAT: Semi-final Storm v Broncos Live Site
DATE: Saturday 20th September 2008
TIME: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
VENUE: Water Front City Piazza, Docklands
MELWAYS REFERNCE: Map 2E D4

No, I don't think so. This thread is very relevant in it's own right, whereas the Channel Nein thread is (rightly) about what scumbags they are. It's easy to imagine casual users of the site not bothering to read a thread about being screwed over by Nein again, and thus missing this important news.



BTW, congrats to Storm for organising it, and f*ck you channel Nein for all the support you haven't given Storm in particular and League in general over the years.

about 15mins, maybe 20 from where the waterfront part is

You could always get a tram from Crown, then another one that goes straight down to Waterfront City.  Don't ask me the tram numbers as I have no idea, I just know they go down there.

my bad, i thought it was plaza not piazza.

ive still got no idea where that is. but the tram that goes past my house (tram 48) goes straight to docklands anyway but i just need to know which direction to walk in haha

No idea where it is? Ill tell you its on the docklands water front in the open air with no rain cover and minimal seating arrangements.

Behind the big top pavillion off Docklands drive - MAP

there are four 'pay n display car parks close by,but not sure how quickly they fill on a Saturday evening  ???

it's at the g though, so will have an impact, but won't fill them up!
