During the week I had grown in confidence of a Storm win tonight for various reasons (tho I don't want to mention them right now in case I jinx us) but that confidence was shattered this morning when I read that the Video Ref's have been told to look out for grapples.

Now I know we want these removed from our game but this is so typical of the NRL to have a clamp down on something during the finals series. So basically they are gonna ref the game differently than they have the entire year. It has me very worried that we're just gonna be reffed out of this finals series. Last week showed a crackdown by the ref on grapples (yes we did them but typically the ref wasn't consistant in penalising the Warriors for the same reasons). Given the focus on Storm being the main grapplers I can just see the refs focussing on us yet again.

I don't see that as a problem, provided Bellamy and the boys are aware of it. In the past when there's been publicised crackdowns the Storm have come out the following week and won without doing the grapples.

True, but this week (according to the article) the second video ref has been told to keep his eye on it. But in saying that, you are right, whenever its been brought us as a big issue Storm have tended to be mroe careful. I guess time will tell. Only a few more hours to wait...

we didnt derserve a win...didnt derserve to get with-in 2 points even! Lima and fusi were awesome!!! izzy made for last week...cam was good. but it was far from impressive performance from the boys.
