Hotel in Potts Point, 5-10 mins walk to Kings X, drink at The Crest - eat at The Bourbon, (a great Steak) train from Kings X to Central (or even Town Hall) central to Lidcombe, Lidcome to Syd Oly Prk (or direct from Central to Syd Oly Prk) depending on time of Travel.

Just booked a room at the George St Hotel. It's a backpacker pub I think. $57 for a single room, but I don't plan on spending much time in it so I don't care. It's only a five-minute walk to Central Station and I've been to the actual pub before and it's a ripper. Just booked frequent flyer point flights - going up at 10am Sunday, coming back 1.15pm Monday.
So regardless of whether we make it or not, I'm there.
2012 premiers. Legit.

Staying put in Melbourne that weekend. Every time I've been to a game in Sydney we've lost.

it used to be like that on the Bus Trips, i think i have only 4 victories on the Bus trips, Tigers 2000 (made the finals),  Panthers and 2 @ Canberra (ok not exactly Sydney). Adult fun before the 2006 GF may have cost us the Game, so I held off the Adult fun until after the game (it and I paid) :-)

Call me an atheist non-superstitious vanilla dude, but doesn't the physical training, mental preparation and motivation of the players of both sides, and the eyesight of the referee, decide the outcome of a game?

Go, don't go, bed each other, bed a player, bed the whole team, do whatever, just support our boys FFS!

Mrpc, the real reason I'm not going is financial but shhh! I don't like to let others know my real reason. ;)

I have no doubt there will be an announcement made about where everyone can meet on the Sat nite.

After last year's after party debacle, how about we organise our own after party?

debacle?? I enjoyed the after party heaps - being rather smashed after 12 hours at the bar kinda helped though....

I nominate The Crest Hotel in Kings Cross, as it is more or less Centrally Located, close to Trains, Taxis just outside

Be it Saturday Arvo/Night and/or Sunday night after the Game...
