Upside, we might be more chance of keeping Lima?....
Tagataese, who represented the Junior Kiwis and also the Queensland under-19s in 2004, made his NRL debut for the Storm in round four last season and has since played 15 first grade games.
The 21-year-old will join the Titans next season on a two-year deal
Titans coach John Cartwright said Tagataese would add to the club’s depth in the forward ranks.
‘’He’s young, he’s got plenty of size and speed and he can really add a lot to our squad,’’ said Cartwright.
Titans managing director Michael Searle said it was pleasing to secure the services of the promising young forward.
“Sam has shown he has great potential and his presence will add to our forward pack,’’ said Searle.
“Sam will give us added punch on the edges. He’s a strong defender and we think he’s a player on the up. Off the field, he also has strong links to the Logan community.’’

Yep, Lima and Blair may be bigger priorities,
Dogs are trying to move in on both.

Shame. His career looked promising at one stage...

I really have to say that the only way that Boofa played at that kick from Orford was if he cracked a fat.

really crap news. i loved watching him play
he is so quick over 40m for a foward, he will be missed,
(our depth is really struggling due to the cap, we could end up being the new penrith of 2003, the following year the cap hurt them bad so they decided keep the top 13 guys on wot eva money they wanted and in return sacrificed depth and the future of the club, which now can be seen by where they sit on the ladder)

not at all Waldron has said the club plan is to have a 'core' of superstars to build a team round but then they may have to keep bringing juniors or lesser talent through to round the team out - just look at cross, lima, king, izzy, billy, cam and coops, didnt spend a penny on them, and thats the way it has to be. Unlike the roosters who are buying 1 years possible glory by signing players and back ending the contracts in the hope it will pay off in the short term. Bellamy is too good a coach to run a overpriced team with no depth which is exactly why we have lost king, cross, crossman and newton last year.

Big shock for me, I thought he woulda already been signed long term.
I just hope he dosent come back to haunt us.

AFAIK no Storm player has left the club and ended up with a better career than prior to leaving aside from Marcus Bai.

Definitely a loss, but far from the end of the world IMO. Cap was going to bite sooner or later...

Ryan Shortland may buck the trend.
