Interesting numbers
I check this out to add to a discussion elsewhere, but I think it's interesting and relevant here.
Just for the record, Storm's squad this week, and where they first played first grade;
Billy Slater - Storm
Steve Turner - Panthers
Will Chambers - Storm
Israel Folau - Storm
Anthony Quinn - Knights
Greg Inglis - Storm
Cooper Cronk - Storm
Jeff Lima - Wests
Cam Smith © - Storm
Antonio Kaufusi - Storm
Jeremy Smith - Storm
Ryan Hoffman - Storm
13. Dallas Johnson - Storm
Adam Blair - Storm
Matt Geyer - Western Reds
Michael Crocker - Roosters
Sika Manu - Storm
10/13 starters
12/17 overall played their first NRL at Storm. And Jeremy Smith played his first Rugby League at Altona Roosters.

We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

That's fantastic! I wonder how many other sides can boast such a "home grown' team?
Even more notable because of our lack of juniors. Good to know Jeremy Smith was an Altona Rooster.

We live to play, we play to win, We try and try, we won’t say die, we won’t give in
I had this debate with a leeds supporter prior to the world club challenge who said that Melbourne had bought their success.
of the player that have played elsewhere I think only quinn and crocker have player more then 10 first grade game.

You can draw a lot of parallels betwixt Storm the early years & the last couple.
Players no one wanted - Players too young to be consistently good - Players expected to cut n run to their "home states"
Both resulted in premierships & media talk of a dynasty
The diff this time is that we are cultivating a home grown crop

The article was posted to show the rich contribution Storm players made to Norths in the 10 years they were our feeder club. If nothing else Mike at least you have found out the Devils are affiliated with the Broncos - hardly recent news !!!
