Player Sponsor - 2008 Edition

Well folks - the time has come to see if we can do the same deed as this year - are we interested in sponsoring a player for 2008? In 2007, we created a record sponsorship level with two players sponsored - Matt Geyer and Steve Turner. In 2008, we're looking to sponsor even more!

Similar to 2007, each "share" in a player sponsorship will cost $55* and you can purchase as many shares as you can afford - either in one or more players. (* per share price now includes $5 GST)

Each "shareholder" will:
* Get a signed action photo of the player. The photo will be A4 size and unframed.
* An entry per $55 contribution into a lucky dip for one of the two Stormy Stormy Night tickets (2 tickets available for each player sponsored). If you contribute $110 (for one player), you get two entries in that draw, if you contribute $55 to each of two players, you get one entry in each draw. This will be drawn under supervision and by an independent 3rd party. The 2007 draw was done by Billy Bells at the Sponsors dinner earlier this year.
* Two personalised reports from the Coaching staff detailing the latest news and form review of the player sponsored.
* Recognition as a group of our sponsorship of the player on the Storm website
* Recognition of your contribution to the sponsorship on a special page within The Bai Stand website.
* A special feeling whenever your player touches the ball, makes a tackle or scores that try.

At this stage, we're asking for commitments, but not payments. If you feel you want to partake in the sponsorship, but are unable to afford to until a later stage (by February 2008) please put in whilst spaces are available.

P.S. I'll be confirming price etc with the club so some details might change. I'll update as info becomes available.

Payment can be made by cash, electronic transfer, paypal.

I've edited the top post - club wishes us to pay the GST now - so each share is $55. Please PM me if this presents a problem. Also - club is pushing hard for these now - and Issy has already been snapped up!

No idea on which company got Issy - but they got in early. We could have had first dibs on him if we'd sponsored him this year, but we only got a third of the way for Issy.

I'll find out from the club which other players are available in case we make it to our target nice and early. We're already almost 25% of the way for both players, and considering how quiet it actually is - that's a good result!

I was talking to Thinga about it last night and he said since we represent The Bai Stand we should keep targeting the backs ... thats why having the wingers is particularly good.

Since Israel is out, perhaps Quinn? Or with King's departure we'll probably see more of Chambers so maybe him?

Anyway Thinga is in for $55 on Turner too.
