Since 2001, Storm has played 6 games against the New Zealand Warriors, and 6 games against the Auckland Warriors prior to that.

* Against the Auckland Warriors, Storm had a 50 % win ratio with Storm's victories coming with an average margin of 25 points. Auckland had an average win margin of 5 points.

* Against the New Zealand Warriors, Storm has never won at home, with the Warriors beating us in Round 11 2002 28 to 12 in front of 8,873 at Olympic Park, and drawing 24-all in Round 25, 2001 in front of a crowd of 13,298 at Colonial Stadium.

* The greatest winning margin for Storm is 46 pts (56 to 10 against Auckland in Round 20, 2000 at OP). Our greatest losing margin is 20 pts (40 to 20 against New Zealand) in Round12, 2001 in New Zealand.

* The referee for this match is Steve Lyons. Storm have played 6 games with him in charge, with a 5-1 win record (83%). New Zealand have played 4 games under his "control" with a 75% success rate (3-1).

* Our average home crowd against the Warriors is 12,351 with the best crowd during Round 22, 1999 - 13,435. Our worst crowd has been 8,873 during Round 11, 2002. Average crowds for a Storm V Warriors game (any venue) is 13,379.

* The last time we met was in Round 8 this year where we lost 20 to 14 in front of 9,637. Our last home game was in Round 11, 2002 where we lost 28 to 12 in front of 8,873.

* A Storm win will keep us in touch with the top 4. Penrith play the Eels, and a loss to Penright / victory to Storm will finally see Storm assume a top 4 position. Both Cronulla (14pts) and St George (16pts) are yet to have either of their two byes. However, Penrith is the only team in the top 6 with a bye outstanding.

* Whilst there is no AFL in Melbourne this weekend, Storm are still competing against the Collingwood / Sydney clash on Saturday night.

* Saturday's forecast is for cloudy / showers with a top of 16 degrees.
