Also, am I right in presuming that, if we draw a Sydney based team (Manly, Bulldogs, Eels, Rabbitohs) for the Prelim Final, the Prelim Final will be in Sydney and not in Melbourne?
That doesn't really seem fair as we've earned the right to hold a home final. Been a long time since we played at Telstra. Also why does it say on our site that we never beat the crowd we had at our first game? Surley the game at the MCG against the Dragons beat that?
A win against the Broncos will see us play a home final in week 3. I am pretty sure that game would be a Sunday 4pm game. I am certain I read earlier in the season that the NRL has gone back to Saturday 7:30pm/Sunday 4pm finals for weeks 2 and 3 as last year's experiment of Friday/Saturday night finals didn't work as well.

As for crowd figures, technically the MCG games, whilst being our home games, are classed as being played at a neutral venue as the MCG was not our home venue, Olympic Park is our home venue.

Given that the prelims were on a Friday (Broncs vs DOgs) and Saturday (Storm vs Dragons) last year can we expect the same agin. Hopefully it's a Saturday for us again....I have shit to do on Sunday arvo.

except that from an attendance point of view, there won't be any afl prelims on the sunday, so that would be an advantage to a sunday arvo game!
Storming our way to glory!

NRL website states quite clearly that 1st Ranked Winner (ie Storm after we win on Sunday) will play Winner 1st Semi Final on Sunday Sep 23rd.

1st Semi Final would be between 4th ranking winner vs 2nd ranking loser. Eg if 1 thru 4 win this weekend then our opponents at Telstra Dome would be the winner of the Warriors vs the Bulldogs.

Exactly Geelong are prob the worst top of the ladder team I have ever seen. If roos beat Cats and Crows beat Hwks the Crows will strangle Geelong. I think even hawthorn will beat Geelong

Ideally after Storm vs Broncos, Storm vs Warriors just have to be our next game. Even outside the finals back to back games like that would be the biggest blockbuster events at OP

And there lies my dilemma, although I think if the Roos win on Sunday, we will go into the Prelim on Saturday week as from memory, Prelims are not played on Sundays to give the full weeks break for the Granny.  I don't want to get ahead of myself though, but Imagine going to see your team play in the AFL granny and the NRL granny. Not to mention the $$$$$$

Anyway, I'm just hoping that we get the Telstra Dome match and a well deserved week off!

Unfortunately it won't be the Warriors ... you will most likely play Parramatta.

This is not the thread to discuss it but that is ridiculous! How many times have you seen the Cats play this season? They finished the season 12 points clear and with 16 wins out of 17 games, thoroughly deserving their minor premiership.

Hmmm after reading the above posts I forgot the original reason I came to this thread and that was to ask about tickets.

Thinga and I will be there (and possibly his mother too) but we would like to sit with some familiar faces. Any idea what part of the ground people are looking at buying tickets in? We have two memberships to ensure we can get them as soon as they go on sale.
