Alternate Names for Melbourne

Since tradition may not be all that it's cracked up to be - just thought I'd see if we could come up with alternatives for Melbourne ________ and of course a mascot to go with that.

I'll start off with the one submitted by Filthy Teeve to the club in 1997 as a suggestion for the club name:

The Melbourne Juggernauts with their mascot "Double D", or perhaps the mascot could have been "SteinMan"

It's a bit cliche but I always liked the Greek Mythology/ History names.
Melbourne Spartans/ Centurions/ Trojans & Barbarians.
Initially I thought the "Storm" was a bit American (and also at the time, the ABL had a team called the "Sydney Storm") and didn't fancy it.  But from my first game, it seemed a natural fit. Love live the Storm

Whats with the sterotypical team names associated with different codes?

I've never heard of a league team called the swans, an AFL team called the broncos or a soccer club without an FC suffix...

Why the gold coast pulled on the name 'Titans' ill never know...couldnt have less to do with gold coast culture!

Storm is a perfect name...
