What do u think melbourne would be like at this moment if we had kept orford
consider the form he is in at the moment too

do u think we would be better or worse off?

Orford would be chucking a big hissyfit at having to play for Norths Devils, whilst Cronk would be the first choice #7 for the Storm. Hands down.

Russell it would probably be the other way around, Coop only came in because Orford left.

i hadnt heard of coop before orford left
so if orford stayed then coop would have left and looked for a regular first grade spot
so really...
orford did us a favor when he left

Rubbish. Coops was getting some game time while that money-grubbing prick Orford was still here.

I think we may have lost only 1 or 2 more games this year.  We haven't had to dig ourselves out of too many holes this year.  Not sure we'd have won the Warriors game over there with Ox though.  To be fair, some of the games we may have won by more too - that is the way Matt goes. He dominates in a side with a roll on but drops away a touch in a tight game IMO
Storming our way to glory!

there's no use in playing the what if game with player movements, I doubt the club is doing that we've got a rising star in Coop and hopefully he'll stick with the club throughout his career.  Not many clubs have our impressive line-up of play makers, we've got Coop, Billy, Cam, Zappa, Kingy while he's still with us, Boofa, Joe, Izzy to name a few.

Its a tough question to answer. The way i like to look at it, compare our performances when Orford played for Storm and since Cronk has taken over. I can't be stuffed looking up the full stats but with one of those named we won a Minor Premiership, made a Grand Final and look set for the same again this year (fingers crossed). On the other hand, the with the other guy named we didn't achieve nearly half as much whilst he was our halfback. Not forgetting that whilst Orford played for us we still had a decent line up and a lot of the same players we still have.

I was listing to a league show on radio over here and had Storms marketing manager on saying how great Bellemy is doing and how the kids want to play for Melbourne.  Storm have an uncanny knack for launching players careers.  Cronk was on the scene before OX left.

If Orford was still with Storm then Cronk would've signed elsewhere, we wouldn't have won the minor premiership last year, would have once again won week 1 of the finals and then been bundled out yet again week 2 for the 4th time in a row.

This year we would currently be one of the multitude of teams vying for a position in the bottom half of the 8.

Orford the individuaslist would be an horrendous half-back to partner with GI.

Good point Noa, I didn't even think of his combination with GI.
