As at Round X:

Storm have 2 players listed in the top pointscorers table - Cam with 72 points (2 tries, 32 goals) and Izzy with 44 points (11 tries).
Cam's 32 goals came from 44 attempts, a return of 72.727%; Izzy has also made 2 intercepts this season.

DJ is the league's top tackler with 354, whilst Cam has racked up 345, which puts him 4th in the NRL.

The average crowd figure at OP this year is just under 12000.

Storm have executed no less than 6 40/20 kicks in 2007: Cam 3, Cronk 2, Aubusson 1

Storm have 2 players in the NRL's top linebreakers this season: Billy has made 8 (=3rd), and Kingy 7 (=4th)

Cooper Cronk has made 125 kicks in play, the 3rd highest in the NRL for 2K7...

After 14 rounds, Storm is the best offensive team in the league (360 points - 57 points ahead of the next best Cowboys at 303). Storm is also second best defensive team leaking only 187 points (Manly is best defensive with 166 points over one less game).

Amazingly, after 14 rounds, last placed Dragons are still only 3 wins away from 3rd on the ladder!

The win against Nth QLD (by 46 points) is our equal 6th highest win. :D

(Others on 46 point margin are: Auckland, Brisbane, Newcastle, Southsx2)

I know it's not a quirky fact or figure but our home crowds averages since inception (excludes finals/trials/neutral venues, ie MCG):

Storm has not lost 3 or more games in a row with Craig Bellamy as coach and since Orford left we have only once had a losing streak of 2 or more games.

Since 2003 we have lost at most two games in a row.

2003: 2 losing streaks of 2 games
2004: 4 losing streaks of 2 games
2005: 3 losing streaks of 2 games
2006: 1 losing streak of 2 games
2007: 0 losing streaks of 2 games

Season 2007 is the first time since 2004 that Storm has lost a game prior to the Players Comedy and Auction Day:

2004: 8th August 2004 - lost to St George Illawarra on Friday 6th August 34 to 14 (away)
2005: 14th August 2005 - beat New Zealand Warriors on Saturday 13th August 22 to 10 (home)
2006: 15th August 2006 - beat Brisbane Broncos on Friday 13th August 18 to 12 (away)
2007: 29th July 2007 - lost to Sydney Roosters on Friday 27th July 26 to 16 (away)

No real pattern - but on Sunday, I thought there was - and wanted to check it out...

Another quirky fact:  The last team to beat the eventual premiers in every home and away season (not in the finals) since 2002  was Melbourne Storm.  Last year Brisbane won every match after we beat them at Suncorp, got the duble chance, lost a final and went on to win.  My wife told me this fact!!!!!!

Actually the comedy day was Sunday August 20 and you lost to the Warriors on the Saturday night before.
