How can we make a statement about 9 at the game this week?

Hey guys is there anything we can do or plan at the game this week to make a statement against 9. I know its a fox game but could we do anything? Could we plan a protest outside 9? what can we do? any ideas?

YES! That is an excellent idea. 

I urge as many Storm fans who will attend the game as possible to make banners with what Silkin Storm has proposed.

I would also suggest adding phrases that reference Eddie to the banners.

Can the Storm Banner Crew not do anything here?  I'd love the idea of a huge banner lambasting Channel 9 for the lack of coverage.  Imagine the cheers they would receive when it goes up.

Feel free to put you ideas up here - I reckon if it gets onto the banner...Waldron should get on board and address the crowd before the game about the situation...and rally the troops.  Fox will be there, so will radio and away we go....

Keep it simple, and non-commercial.  Channel Nein does give the league a fair whack of money, and it's not a person that can take responsibility and fix the problem.  Eddie is a person who can be targeted, who everyone knows on a first name basis, and who could fix the problem if he wanted to or if he were put under enough pressure.

Unfortunately I've never made a banner in my life and don't think I'll have a chance to start.  The only paint I own is delta blue, silver and white. 

However, I do have a prime position for hanging a banner with sandbags over the wall on the Lazarus Stand (2x Row A seats).  If someone wants to make two and find some sand, send me a PM via the site and I'll call you & work out how to collect it before or at the game.

I did mentioned to Mikey about getting a very large banner that would cover a bay and that at some time during the game the fans unravel it over the whole bay.......it would take security at least 3 minutes to get there to stop it.

I think that is excellent.  If it's done over a part of the Nikau Stand then it would get prime TV exposure on Foxtel.

Have spoken to a couple of places and they are going to get back to me by tonight with a price.

Or if we can get the material, a sewing machine and someone to use it and some people to paint the wording on it we could run with it.

I think this is a fantastic idea, but not a place for puns or wordplay. keep it simple like silkins post.

How about (and this idea will cost a little bit of money) getting placards printed like those toyota goal placards they give out at the afl.
maybe 2 - 300 hundred and give them to the kids, hang them from the fence, hold them up after tries, do whatever


maybe we could ask the storm for the money out of petty cash

I sure when it is explained to people before the game they would be happy to do it. After all it is only going to be for a couple of minutes.
