Here we go again

THE grapple tackle controversy reared its ugly head again yesterday when Brisbane enforcer Petero Civoniceva accused Melbourne Storm of employing the illegal tactic in last weekend's trial game.
Civoniceva said Storm players had overstepped the boundaries several times during Melbourne's thumping 46-0 win at Princes Park on Saturday night.
"Every day of the week they're doing work (on wrestling), so I think there were moments there when there were a few tackles that were suspect," he said.
Why can't they just STFU!!!!!

Oh FFS!! You got the title right Tigger - here we go again
That's right - teams. Why do they continue to single out Melbourne for this? We watch a lot of games during the season, not just Storm games, and I would have to say these comments do not deserve to be directed at Storm time and time again But of course I'm biased"But where I've got to draw the line is the grapple tackle, and what we saw in the past couple of seasons was teams using the headlock, locking the head and immobilising the head.

A bit of the "mob mentality" there from Petro I reckon.
It's almost like - "yeah, what he said, they do it all the time, blah blah blah - C'mon Cleetus, let's git 'em and hang 'em from the highest tree, Yee Haa!!!"
Do you think he's trying to deflect from their very, very average performance? (or from Storms dominance in the game)
Surely with all the talk of Storm being the main instigators of so-called grapple tackles, the refs, and video review panels etc would be taking an even closer look at our tackles, and surprise surprise, there's no problems with it.
Throw enough mud Tigger and some will stick ....

I didn't see any grapples from my vantage point and I've not seen the boys work on wrestling when I've seen them train so the Broncos should really check their facts.

That photo of an alleged Grapple Tackle what a crock cooper is falling over Moon at that stage and Moon is al ready on the way down as he was tackled by Cam. I suppose Cooper was "over the Moon" in that photo. It is such a poor excuse for a grapple tackle.
I am back again.

COWBELL BEING TOO LOUD
[/quote]
The cowbell is NOT annoying lotti!!!
Like everything else at Storm home games, it's part of the experience! It keeps the crowd in time (sorta) when the "Melbourne" chant is happening. Lots of people start actually chanting & become quite noisy when they hear it.
Btw, it's not mine
