Craig Bellamy is the favorite to be appointed as the next Kangaroos coach following the resignation of Wayne Bennett after they were thrashed 24-0 in Australia's failed Tri-Nations 2005 campaign.
Show of hands, how many of you thought Bellamy was going to replace Bennett at the Broncos?

Could still happen Thunderstruck, seeing as Bennett hasn't yet resigned from the Broncos. I've always suspected Bennett's resignation/retirement from the Broncos would just happen to coincide with the end of Bellamy's contract with StormThunderstruck wrote:Craig Bellamy is the favorite to be appointed as the next Kangaroos coach following the resignation of Wayne Bennett after they were thrashed 24-0 in Australia's failed Tri-Nations 2005 campaign.

apparently 2gb announced that Ricky Stewart is taking over as Kangaroos coach, with Graham Murray taking over NSW. Can't find anything official though, so who knows how accurate it is
*edit* Just found on foxsports website that it is between Craig and Stewart, with a decision not expected until next year, so not official
*edit no. 2* Looks like it is official now http://smh.com.au/news/Sport/Stuart...4235989329.html

LOL as usual Melbourne is "out of sight, out of mind" when it comes to rep footy.

Confirmed tonight Stuart to take over Aust & Graham Murray NSW.Surprised considering only a couple of days ago Carr said a decision is not likely until Feb.Hopefully Bellamy willl continue in assistant's role as he is good mates with Stuart but the quick turnaround in appointing Stuart is surprising. His coaching record with the Roosters is 1 title with a pretty handy lineup & the 1st season without Fittler he couldn't even get the Roosters into the 8.

Sticky's success has rested largely on the back of key players.
Removing Freddie from the Roosters and John from the Blues has suggested there are significant weaknesses in his coaching. Not saying he isn't a good coach, just that time will tell.

...hmmm.....
....with Sticky as 'roos coach do you think Finch will get a jersey?
Don't laugh! No-one ever believed he'd get a sky blue one either.
