Who has been the better number 9 for us? Smith or Swain? Swain was with us for 5 seasons and Cam has been at the Storm for 3 seasons. Obviously you could say Swain because he played longer but I'm asking 'who was/is the better player?' basically.

I would go Swain only due to the fact that when everything was going pear shape on the field for a number of years Swain was one of 3 players that stood up and kept us off the bottom of the ladder.
One retired last year and the other one as more games under his belt in a Storm jumper than anyone else.

I really have to say that the only way that Boofa played at that kick from Orford was if he cracked a fat.

It is hard to compare guys who are currently playing with ones whose careers have ended. In playing styles Smith certainly has the edge with his kicking game, but he really hasn't been around for that long.
I'll put it this way by the time Smith is finished with the Storm he will a long way ahead of Swain, he'll be remembered as one of the best players the club has ever had.

Both great defenders - Swain possibly got through slightly more work, but he didn't have Hoffy to help him out.
Both great clubmen.
I think Smith takes it with his attacking ability. He has a wider range of skills from dummy half, an excellent in-play kicking game and has shown he has all the skills to make a class half (where he may be required to fill in if things go awry in 2006).

We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

At this point in time Swain.
Cam Smith uses other players better than Swain so hopefully he''l shoot past Swainy in my 9v9 opinion.

Smith. He has a much better attack than Swain.
