yeah, it seemed considerably more than the warriors game. If OP has a capacity of 20 000, I'm not sure where the other 10 000 would have fit last night....

Watching the telecast at Fox studios there certainly appeared a lot more than 10,000 at the game, I too would like to know how the figures are calculated. I do not believe that all who attended last night had tickets swiped at the gates, because the figures do not add up for what I could see.

Cheers

stuffed if I could work it out. For certain I thought there was more than the warriors game. Having been to every game in 5 years, I really thought that there was at least 12k there last night. Very disappointed when I saw the crowd figure come up.

I was sitting in the Lazarus stand last night and it looked pretty full to me (at least in the lower level where I was), as did the Nikau stand. It certainly was noisy, which was pleasing :)

I didn't think there was more than 10,000.The stand opposite the dressing sheds didn't appear to have as many as they did for Warriors game.

I agree.

I was heatened when I walked to get into OP as there was a big crowd waiting to buy tickets at both entrances.

But inside the ground during the game I dissapointed with lack of numbers.

Last night was the first night that I could here Orford amongst others comunicate on the field.

Well I know for a fact that at least three people weren't counted in the crowd figures. The three of us carrying the banner into the ground didn't have our cards scanned. Not sure about the rest of the banner crew.

on 2GB they said the storm had said that pre-sold ticket prices were the best for this year. i saw the crowd ov TV and i thought it looked pretty damn good. 10,000 isnt a bad crowd but it did look larger

It certainly looked bigger on tv than the 10 500 I was amongst today ... but then 10 000 does get lost when going into 80 000 as oppose to 20 000 seats.

11,500 seats at OP, rest is standing room on the terraces. Capacity is listed at about 20k but given the Jayco caravan and the riverside marquee I'd say the actual capacity would be closer to 18k or 19k.

Ah yeah I didn't mean that literally should have said capacity rather than seats.

I was actualy surprised by the figure. I have a look at every home game. By mid second half i thought we may scrape past 9,000.

BTW - was anyone aware we beat last years crowd average by nearly 2% :)

Home crowds:

2005: 106,760

2004: 106,640

106,760/ 106,640=1.001125 or 0.1125% increase on 2004 home crowd figures.
