Im just wondering as to if this is Matt Geyer's last season? I mite have missed the news on wether he's going for 1 more season or if he's call the quits at seasons end. Because Webster has really improved and looking a permanent fixture in the lineup. So if anyone knows then please let me know!

Geyer has another year to go on the current contract and expect him to be offered another one or two years early in the new season.

Might not be on the wing, but he'll still be there.

its going to be so hard to be able to fit inglis, webster, turner, geyer, king, slater into the one team tho.....so if geyer was to leave it would be sad...but then agian i wouldnt mind seeing webster takng his spot. he is just a great guy and a great player....if he wants to stay then i say sign him up agian

Speaking of Webster, apparently he is eligible for new zealand and is being sounded out for the tri nations. I forgot which thread it was that LR mentioned he is part kiwi and me not being sure.
New Kiwis coach Brian McLennan was recently in Sydney and met a number of players, including Williams, Marshall and Puletua, who Panthers general manager Mick Leary said was unlikely to play for the club again this year but would be available for New Zealand if fit.

Melbourne's David Kidwell and Jake Webster, Cronulla's Nigel Vagana, Hutch Maiava and Luke Covell and North Queensland's David Faiumu are also available for selection at this stage, while Warriors utility Lance Hohaia is expected to have recovered from a minor knee operation he underwent on Monday.
(Was the one on Carmont to make his international    de..   debut:lol:  :lol:

That still cracks mer up the thought of that.  :lol:  :lol:

You only need to have a grandparent from a country to be able to play for them. I believe that's the way it works. That's why Luke Ricketson and Danny Williams played for Ireland at the 2000 World Cup.

Not as far as I can remember. I think he has played in just about every position bar prop and halfback though.

I just realized it's my post at LU you're questioning which is pretty much that line I typed above ^^^.

edit:
Matt Geyer started at halfback vs Warriors in 2002, I just remembered. It was Ned's debut and he gave us the start of a long losing streak :P Marcus Bai got a big lift from Mark Tookey that day IIRC.

So he has started at every back line position and played as lock and second row in a number of games. The hooker part is rather fuzzy.

I think so .... LU is playing up at the moment.

I'd Love to play Geyer at hooker for surprise value at some stage during CRL VI

I think Geyer started at halfback, but wasn't named there??? I don't recall him ever wearing the 7, but he's worn every other backline number. Could be wrong though

I have that game on tape, Reynoldson's first hitup he gets smashed by someone, I cant remember.
Scott Hill looks way more fitter and mobile then he does now in that game, he was throwing the ball around
beutifully and running with a pretty fast pace.
