Other off contract origin players from this year are, Luke Bailey, Chris Flanery,
didnt Waldron on the radio say that this player is looking for a one year deal so he can join Gold Coast?
If so its Luke Bailey.
Or maybe its Braith Anasta.

jsut emailed panthers and this is the reply
His contract has this year and next year to run so there's no reason at
this time to "re-sign" him.
so doesnt look like ross will be coming here anytime soon.

Anasta has been playin at lock for the last few games, so he is a forward-5/8.

So much for it being Ben Ross,
who then is it?
Luke Bailey, Flanery, Berrigan or was he just talking about a past orign player, meaning Mason.
or.........you's wernt consentrating on the radio clearly and he was just talking about Crocker.

This is already being discussed in this thread. There is a reason that thread was posted y'know

Oh and steaming stormer, maybe you should read this article from SMH that I mentioned on page three on that thread:
Thunderstruck wrote:According to TC, Waldron said he'll be playing in origin 3 2005, so... Chris Flannery? He's off this year. Is Ben Ross off contract? Nevermind, we apparently chased him last year but he didn't wanna leave Penrith, so he's locked in until 2006.
BEN ROSS IS UNDER CONTRACT UNTIL 2006!! He doesn't want to leave Penrith.

If that's not enough, here's the entire piece on that.

PENRITH

The Panthers yesterday re-signed Queensland Origin prop Ben Ross for two years, heading off an expected approach from Melbourne. "I never wanted to leave Penrith, ever," Ross said yesterday at the Maroons medicals. "It's something I've dreamt of, playing for them, and I wouldn't change that for the world. I'd love to play my career out there. Langy [John Lang] is a good coach and he's allowed me to play my best football and I'm thankful to him."
