Sorry its so early, but I'm bored :(

At this stage it looks as though we'll be naming something like;

1. Greg Inglis
2. Matt Geyer
3. Steve Bell
4. Matt King
5. Jake Webster (by default)
6. Scott Hill
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Robert Kearns
9. Cameron Smith
10. Alex Chan (I think he has been very poor so far)
11. David Kidwell (Almost as bad as Chan)
12. Ryan Hoffman
13. Dallas Johnson (c)

14. Dennis Scott
15. Brett White
16. Glen Turner
17. Jamie McDonald/Jamie Feeney.

The bench really is a lottery. However if some of our fowards don't stand up, we will not make the 8.

Kidwell has been solid although he played a blinder in Round 4.

Chan is doing really well considering the condition of his shoulder.

They are consistantly getting dominated. If we want to keep playing the way we are, than they need not improve.

jamie macdonald needs to be in the team SOMEWHERE

also chan has had injured shoulders ..thats prolly why he isnt been playing to his best...feeney and/or macdonald need to be on the bench IMO dont think turner is stepping up

Ask StGeorge or the Broncos about being dominated in the forwards.

There's been nothing wrong with Kidwell... he's not a big forward that should be dominating other forwards, but his intensity usually gets him over the advantage line anyway. Our second best forward (Chan that is, after Kearns!) is injured (and doesn't look like really recovering fully), and our others are either too small or are not playing with the same intensity that makes Kidwell so good (looking in Brett White's direction).
GT, Feeney and McDonald are bench forwards only in my opinion - I have seen nothing so far to suggest otherwise. Tevita is a few weeks away, but who knows whether he'll be our saviour or another flop like Robert T.
We need to spend Robbo's money (and some of Orford's) on picking up a big, strong, hard hitting forward... anyone got one to spare? :?

Okay so I have almost given up hope of re-signing him, and the Dogs are quite capable of playing without him but I'm not looking forward to playing against him!
If you can overlook his off field behaviour Mason, and I know some here won't and will shoot you down for even mentioning that name, he does add something to any side that can't be coached - the ability to fire up the players around him in tough games.
If he hadn't been injured in the stupid American game, I was all for two captains this year. Mason on the field to fire up the troops and Ryan off it to deal with the media. Ryan seems to be having difficulty pulling the Dogs out of a slump in intensity and Mason talking to the media is always a worry  LOL

I reckon Kidwell is better coming off the bench. And Feeney should start in the 2nd row.
Let Feeney play 80 mins, thats what he wants so give him a go.

Perhaps we can sign up a cloned super-soldier with bits of Danny Williams, Rusty Bawden (as long as they don't clash), Robbo, Steve Kearney, T, and Robbie Kearns...

(Looks like I've visited delusion land today )

On the souths game, who's making the trip up from Melbourne for the game? Anyone know if the bus is definitely coming or not? And also, what hotel do you guys normally stay at?

And massively over-rated.

I'd rather have Mason - there's a chance you can teach a larrikin to behave, but you can't teach natural ability.
