Will be interesting to see who we lose for this.

Grant and Munster surely locks for game 1. Going to be interesting to see how Cam defends in Maroon and if his contact and effort is better than in purple there- as surely the blues go at him. Will tell us a lot about where we are at with him. Either outcomes probably not great for us; if he gets found out - he might be done as a force, if he lights up you have to draw the conclusion that the purple jumper don't mean as much as it should to him. Poor blokes on a hiding to nothing there I guess.

Not sure if Uto has done enough to be there with a lot of other good options for blues, and his horrid showing in game 3 last year in selectors who put faith in him minds.

Interesting to see that the GOAT had Loiero as 13 for maroons in his side today. Very interesting that.

Not sure coates will have played enough footy for game 1 , but might play a part in the series.

I'd say up the blues, but no doubt daley will find a way to butcher another series.

Read the comments under it on Facebook, getting absolutely slaughtered by the Punters for including Loiero, seems even other teams fans can see what some refuse to ;)

No thanks. I deliberately steer clear of fb and the cesspit of collective groupthink trolls that frequent it. In fact, if there's a concensus on a matter on there, I automatically assume the opposite must be true. Saw it on 100%footy. I'm sure them slob never was and never will be's who've never laced a boot know better than Cam Smith though.

2bh, I dont think he should be there either, but there's a long gap between that and smiths thoughts and those that think he shouldn't even be in a struggling storm 17. I"ll bet you if he makes it he looks good again, as he did last year, when he's not working overtime to clean up and slow down a ruck being cut to shreds everywhere around him.

So Origin means some interesting challenges for Hooker. No Harry, no Wishy so maybe Satrick?

Surprising not to see Satrick in the squad this week, would have thought if the intention was for him to be 9 next week, they'd get him some nrl game time this week. Toleu there again on the bench, maybe he's the preferred option. Maybe they are just thinking satrick is better off getting 80 in cup than 10 off the bench in the nrl or whatever, and he'll come straight in for grant with toleu to cover off the bench if satrick cant go 80 next week.

Whos our 5/8? Could that be why we've seen huen blooded? Or is it toleu... and satrick has to go 80? Who would be cover for satrick if toleu plays 5/8? We've seen some left field selections at 5/8 historically for storm when the regular has been out - chris lewis, anderson.....might get another left field one. Bad time to be missing wish.

I think Toleu's natural position is 5/8, let him have it. Let him run the ball and occasionally kick, and maybe pass. Being a link man every time ain't going to work unless those around him have trained together. (I mean actually run and train together with passing)

Maybe better off putting a Chan there and saying don't you ever pass or kick! (Would suck to be outside of him)
Position - Left right out or hung out to dry

Kenny Bromwich did some 9 for us during origin I think. So yeah maybe Chan goes in there. Meaney could do 6 but we are so lima lima lima duck short in the backs. We'll probably end up just picking the fit and available 19 and that'll be it. Hetherington to 5/8 and Macdonald to wing. Whatever.

I’m probably wrong. I was just assuming that seeing as he’s not in the cup side although they do change a lot before kickoff.

KRS would come into consideration for either five eighth or the bench utility surely

Have been hearing about him for a couple of years now. Surely he's up to feature somewhere through this series if he's as good as people make out. Should be trying to get a good look at these type of blokes, big decisions for the club at years end, the more they test these types the better informed those decisions will be.
