Super League IX is underway, the first round matches having been played.
The odds to become champions this season are as follows:
Bradford (11/10), Leeds (7/2), St Helens (11/2), Wigan (6/1), Hull FC (50/1), Warrington (100/1)...

National League has its pre season Arriva Cup competition has started, the regional groups are going.
Fev have so far played 2 won 1 (Batley) lost 1(Hull KR). Both matches were close.

Just to make you feel better we are in the middle of an icy cold spell here.
We woke up in this part of Yorkshire this morning with a covering of crunchy snow. Let's hope for a thaw so that no matches need to be postponed this weekend.

Its a Challenge Cup weekend as well(Round 4)
Castleford v UTC (France)
Rochdale v Warrington (Sat)
Bradford DH v Batley (Sat)
East Hull v Whitehaven (Sat)
Wigan v Widnes (Sun)
Bradford Bulls v St Helens (Sun)
Oldham v Sharlston (Sun)
Huddersfield v Pia (Sun)
London Sk vFeatherstone (Sun)
Limouxin v Halifax (Sun)
Sheffield v York (Sun)
Hunslet v Doncaster (Sun)
Workington v Leeds

This is the last season the Challenge Cup is to be played so early. Next year its being moved to the end of the season.
Crowds were up to a record level for SL R1 last weekend. Warrington christened their new stadium with a 14000+ capacity crowd!

So we're looking positvely to Storm's season ahead:
We're Gonna Win!

Go Storm!
