Round 17 - Storm vs Raiders
Absolutely loved beating the raiders and absolutely loved the thunderstruck guitarist drowning out the raiders drumming at the start
X going down I guess that means Remis comes back and Proberly Dean …both are meant to play for the bears today so see if either pull out

My noggin thought maybe Grant gets pushed out to the wing again with Means returning - if the calf is good to go.sallymay wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 10:07 am Absolutely loved beating the raiders and absolutely loved the thunderstruck guitarist drowning out the raiders drumming at the start

If you're looking down that path I'd rather Meaney on the wing - his defence at centre just doesn't work.Shuttlesworth99 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 10:34 amMy noggin thought maybe Grant gets pushed out to the wing again with Means returning - if the calf is good to go.sallymay wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 10:07 am Absolutely loved beating the raiders and absolutely loved the thunderstruck guitarist drowning out the raiders drumming at the start

I'm guessing that if Paps is back it will probably be Sua straight to 5. If not then Sua stays at 1, Remis or Dean to centre and Howarth pushed out to the edge.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately
Yeah, I really do hope we can just push Means onto the wing. Specially since Anderson has looked more comfortable in the centres.
Conditions didn't help but last night showed that Sua still has a lot of developing to do. If Paps returns we're probably better off him going back to the Bears.

He had that one outstanding game (against Brisbane?) and then did his calf on his first run the next week and we're back to square one

Correct re Jack . Club says a glute , out for 1-2 weeks. So hopefully just misses next week and then back after the bye
That is two outside backs we have to find. Reimis and Dean I assume.
Not sure how bad Meaney's calf is. But normally calves are more than a week.
If Paps is back, based on Craig's comments at press conference Sua might move to the wing.
Of course Bradley might start too.

Some of the performances haven't been great but it's cool that we continue to bank wins and win without multiple key players missing every week. We have a heavy away schedule to finish up so I think things will start to tighten up a bit.
We are just finding ways to get it done at the moment. To think that we have so many players - particularly 3/4 of our spine - to add to this team is exciting. We have had some clunky performances, but we know how to win.
Not bothered on winning the minor premiership, bu would love to hold on to top 2 to give us a real crack in finals.
