Still a bit strange that we don’t think Nelson is ready yet. I mean getting more minuets under him is fine but he would still be valuable playing 20 minutes off the bench for us right now.

All I know is that if I’m one of the young Bulldogs forwards off the bench with little to no NRL experience I’d rather be tackling Welch and Wishart than trying to contain NAS.

I don’t think we need him to win comfortably, would have been a nice game for him to come back into, home crowd vs a team that’s given us trouble the last few starts, would have loved him to have been unleashed but Bellamy is obviously playing the long game, the fitter he gets in reserves the better he will be when he is eventually named.

Agreed
Given Bellamy's propensity for giving some guys only 10 - 20 minutes from the bench anyone, including NAS could be eased back in. On at the 30 minute mark off at 50 with the break in the middle.
Maybe he is viewed as too high a risk for this strategy

Three middles on the bench, do we think we can beat them that way with a couple of props out?

Beautiful 1 on 1 strip by Papi and then finishes off a nice try, good opening by the boys.

Not impressed with the ref so far on debut.

Chopping at hands from marker, let go.
Grant held back, let go.

Tui out after 5 minutes with a calf injury. Such a shame, we need him out there. Our forwards are struggling for ground.

High paced so far. Big fellas sucking in the air.

Its almost as if Craig could forsee the need for an extra prop. We'll get a good extended look at Moeroa and Macdonald.

How was the strength by Xavier Coates to get that kick away?

Coates! That was unbelievable… Outstanding effort to stay alive and get that kick through all that traffic.

In the nicest way possible - we can’t carry Loiero and King in the same pack.
