Solid 40 minute hit out so far, up 18-10 at the half

- Bellamy took most of our stars off at the 17 minute mark so the young guys have held their own against a full strength knights team.

- Hughes put Katoa over for a lovely try, think that combination will grow this season.

- Pezet has been strong again, looks a real player.

- Been impressed with our forwards, have rolled the middle really well and more than matched the knights, Loiero Tui and Lewis looking particularly strong.

- Blore hasn’t been involved much, would like to see a bit more from him.

- Russell-Smith is talented but way too young for this level, getting found out on both sides of the ball, needs a few years in reserves and to put some size on.

- Our outside backs are still not doing enough work, I think Warbrick and X had one run each, Meaney and Reimis not much better

- Paps looked silky in limited time

- King and Tui really stood up as starting props, I think they should start the season there honestly. Welch and NAS can be the bench impact.

Hughes looks good. Very good.

Really sleek holding up his passes and putting guys into gaps.

Loiero off with a wrist injury along with Reimis after a crusher.

Warbrick has been putrid today.

Does anyone know the injury to NAS.
Was interviewed on the game coverage and the interviewer said to him at end, "we will see you later in the season"

Harry Grant with the sealer, great awareness around the ruck and deceived every one, gee he is a real footballer, well done Harry.

I tell you what, Treigh Stewart hasn’t hurt his chances today, has been pretty impressive in very limited time.

Treigh reminds me of Justin Olam just quietly

Have really liked Welch game today. Strong running, nice passing game and really good offloads. Hopefully he can keep that up.

A bit disappointed with Blore involvement, has looked a bit disinterested to me.

Agree on Blore, looked like he couldn’t be bothered, not a good sign with his laziness. Chan definitely put his hand up out of all the back row contenders today looked really good.

Overall a good hit out, guys got some miles in the legs, spine was class and the forwards were strong. Outside backs pretty patchy and still got a lot of errors in them.

Thats it for us for trials this year, next time out will be round 1 against the premiers Penrith, big step up in class.

Based off pre season, I’d expect to see this team for round 1:

1. Papenhuyzen
2. Warbrick
3. Smith
4. Meaney
5. Coates
6. Munster
7. Hughes
8. Kamikamika
9. Grant (c)
10. King
11. Howarth
12. Katoa
13. Loiero

14. Fa’alogo
15. Welch
16. Asofa-Solomona
17. Chan/Blore/MacDonald ??

Didn't think Howarth did his chances any good today
Bradley wasn't too bad and i thought Chan was pretty good.

Sounds like Sua won't be playing rd 1 and NAS could be out too, but we really need him obviously, so at this stage I'd take this side

1. Papenhuyzen
2. Warbrick
3. Smith
4. Meaney
5. Coates
6. Munster
7. Hughes
8. Kamikamika
9. Grant (c)
10. King
11. Bradley
12. Katoa
13. Loiero

14. Wishart
15. Welch
16. Chan
17. NAS
