Jarome is VC on the field when Welch is not there and commands respect.
Does he though? Can he rein in a petulant Munster? Can he cool a hothead Reimis? Can he bark at a Nelson to put his nose through the line? Can he nurse a Warbrick? Everyone is very different, a captain needs to be so many things. Welch has it off field, who has it on field. (Says he with no answers - glad I'm not the coach / selection committee)
