Melbourne Storm has officially launched its new elite development program in Queensland, the Sunshine Coast Academy.

The program has been established to provide an elite pathway for juniors through the Sunshine Coast Falcons and Southeast Queensland.

Awesome stuff

The Storm Academy returned for pre-season this week, hitting the training paddock alongside a fresh crop of new young talent that will make up playing squads across Storm’s U17, U19 and U21 junior representative squads.

Building off the success of last year’s inaugural Storm Academy, SG Ball (U19) and Jersey Flegg (U21) squads, the Club will continue to invest in homegrown talent and its junior players, running out a U17s Harold Matthews side in 2024.

Confirmation from Tully McLellan's junior club that he has been selected in the Melbourne Storm SG Ball side.

Disappointing that SC Falcons prop Blake Woodford has joined the Newcastle Knights.

Yeh there’s a few falcons that have left which is annoying

Cohen Emmi (Tully/Northern Pride) likely another with the SG Ball squad.

Full back Hugo Peel has signed with Storm for another two years. (Peel was captain of St Kevin's premiership winning rugby union team).

Heard a rumour that the SC Falcons Mal Meninga Cup side will take on the Storm SG Ball side in a trial match next year. Should be an exciting one.

Love the fact the upcoming storm training (not sure if it’s the goshes paddock one also) in Pakenham and Broadmeadows is a full squad training sessions and will include
