Legitimately one of the worst team selections and game plans we’ve brought into a game for years.

Half time
The only thing keeping us in the game is,
The Panthers mistakes
The Referee, some seriously line ball decisions in our favour. At one stage the penalties were 5-1 in our favour. What worries me is the ref's ALWAYS even up the penalties and when we're already behind on the scoreboard this aint gunna turn out well. Oh wait, the penalty square up has commenced before half time.

Having said all this, all three of the Panthers tries have been gifts from us, forward pass and knock on half way and then Wishart's drop. Surely Meeney get's moved to FB and Wishart to the Wing?
And it is obvious Johns is unfortunately meeting his teammates on the field for the first time.

Wearing a Storm jersey.

Sorry but Seve sucks. Lewis would be a better choice.

Apparently for a jersey grab. Was very minor and the panthers player milked the hell out of it.

This has been a rough night for Bellamy.

With luck it will be the last time we witness Seve in the seniors.

Check out the replay later. The very next play off the penalty, Sorensen with a much more aggressive jersey grab to pull a marker out of play.

Nothing said.

Munster the only one who hasn’t stopped trying. Tui was aggressive when he came on. On to next week for everyone else.

As much as his errors Wishart has tried extremely hard, maybe to make amends. His positional play at FB is lacking, I'm amazed there haven't more kicks in behind the line

Doesn't say much for the rest of the squad that we got special permission to have Marion Seve play.

Those two passes were horrible. Not to mention his defence.

Agree with Nacho, Lewis would be better.

Should Nikorima have been selected ahead of Johns?

Can't question Wishart's effort but again he is not a fullback.

Not a lot of depth in our backline.

I got up and left the room when Seve passed to no one on the tap restart after kicking for touch.

If Cooper Johns had a different surname, would he be selected? Hmm.

A few thoughts.

We were never going to beat them with Paps and Hughes out, but I thought we might have done better.
Jesse is not Captain material - time to stop the experiment.
Wishart tried hard, but he's not an experienced fullback. If we want to turn him into one, send him to play there in Q Cup.
Seve? Why? Better to have Lewis at centre.
Johns needs a lot more time in Q Cup - didn't offer much. We would have been better putting Harry at 7 and playing Brandon at 9.*

Coates still needs a lot of work. His defence is still poor and he doesn't get involved enough. JAC used to come in looking for work - X doesn't.
Munster was the shining light and tried his guts out, but he doesn't lead us - not his job, but if Hughes isn't there who steps up?

Could have been worse, and we will be better when J and Paps come back, but there is an awful lot to work on.

*Despite the fact that Brandon looked out of sorts all game, as did Harry.
