Directly up against the AFL GF, will unfortunately significantly decrease the number of viewers watching.

The NRL has done very little towards helping out the Storm in situations like this in the past. There is just no way the AFL wouldn't change things if the shoe was on the other foot.

Game moved to 4pm to avoid clash with the AFL GF.

God the NRL is a useless organisation... honestly.

Why the hell would you want to get the game changed to 4pm in hot and humid Queensland? What a stupid decision

The NRL would not have done it for Melbourne Storm supporters. The NRL would not have done it because there is a clash with the biggest sporting event of the year. If fact the NRL said less than two weeks ago they were not moving the game time no matter who was playing. The NRL moved because Channel Nine would get bad ratings across the country because most of the country would be watching the AFL. Channel Nine would have told the NRL we pay you a lot of money and we not to broadcast for bad ratings and low advertising money, so move it. Money talks so the NRL moved it. Dollars is the only that matters to Mr. Ruba League.

According to our CEO, Melbourne Storm asked the NRL to move it to a twilight game this morning and was told no. But the decision to move the time slot is announced this afternoon by both the NRL and Channel. Hello, who runs the the game.

Sensible decision to move it. Wins all around.

Climate less of an issue. Players have been in QLD for months and it’s not humid yet.

Our 15 day turnaround and one less game should be a huge advantage. We should be playing a battle weary team

Are the opposition teams going soft on us this year?

Haven’t heard a peep of the usual “grubs that Melbourne are,”. No grapple tackles, crushers, chicken wings, holding downs, cannonballs, late leg hits, shoulder charges or do we expect these allegations during next week?

They're complaining about Suttin being on staff instead

Only a few hours until kick off to find out who we play. May Parra and Penrith belt the snot out of each other deep into extra time.

Like Unmanly, I can’t help but think it’s going to be one way traffic toward Penruff’s try line. Let’s hope they belt the living suitcase out of each other and lots of suspensions and general mayhem and controversy.
