Frank Ponessi said on SEN last night that it’s been a long 2 years and they hadn’t obv planned on getting knocked out of the finals early so when they were the boys and staff who wanted to go home to nsw Victoria ect they were allowed and in light of the scandal currently going on they thought it was best to postpone the player of the year awards
Very very disappointing…I’m actually more annoyed that they did that then the boys and drugs

Me too - kind of awkward now, and certainly wouldn't go down very well in the media (not that anything we do ever does). Maybe this makes Brandon ineligible now, and they give it to Hughes instead?
It's a hell of a dilemma for the club (assuming this is correct) and it sucks big time for the departing players. Dale, Josh and Nicho deserved a decent end of career celebration. (I chose my words carefully - career!)

I think the postponing of awards just makes the whole situation look even worse.
Go out, run a conference, address it, deal out punishments, move on.
Don’t let the rest of the boys suffer

Is there also a possibility that it's so close to the Grand Final that someone form the NRL has told the Storm to wait until it's over before they run any pressers as otherwise you'll take the spotlight away from the event.
