Thursday 19th August
7:50pm
Cbus Super Stadium - Gold Coast

7th vs 1st.

Can we match the Roosters 1975 team record for most consecutive wins (19)?

This is the mosy important game in Club history. If we can tie the record for the most wins in a row, we will become immortal as a Club. We will be NRL history.

Hughes out is a blow but paps at fullback and Hynes into the halves is still a great spine that can pile on the points.

Hopefully getting Jennings, NAS & Pene back which will be a huge boost as well.

Pretty confident we match that record next week.

I think George Jennings is a hugely important player for us on that right side defence

Watching Penrith last night; they went to that side for most of their tries as well so that is where the traffic will be coming from Penny Panthers, Sydney Rooters and south Sydney Rabbitohs and Manly already scored two tries there.

Bellamy has a few weeks to try and work it out. Please Craig, tighten that right side defence.

Important yes, but "most" important?

A couple of others spring to mind.
1999 Grand Final.
Round 1 1998 - First ever game for Premiership points.
Round 4 1998 - First ever Storm game at OP.

But I would argue that our most important game may have been April 26th 2010 against the Warriors - days after the salary cap scandal the boys came out and stood together as a team to beat the Warriors 40-6. The first day of Storm's redemption.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

Yes, I can see that.

The thing is, for Storm these milestones, while important, are not the be-all and end-all. They are just future memories to go on the shelf.

Dean unfortunately has not learnt how to slide and communicate with centres yet. Most defences need wingers to stay compressed until the ball comes to their side and then they can slide backwards for the tackle. He just has not learnt that yet.
