Putting aside last weeks heavy loss to the Eels, the Tigers have been scoring lots of points. The four weeks before that game, they scored 26, 34, 26 & 36. It is their defence that has really let them down. Not dissimilar to our last two games (Warriors and Titans) who were in similar situations.

Storm v Wests Tigers: NAS, Bromwich head reinforcements
NRL.com
Mon 14 Jun 2021
The incredible Storm machine just keeps rolling on with another huge win over the Warriors in round 14 while the Wests Tigers' bid for a third straight victory came crashing down at Bankwest Stadium on Sunday.
The Storm lost Christian Welch to an Origin HIA from a forward pack already missing the likes of Kenny Bromwich and Nelson Asofa-Solomona and lost Jesse Bromwich mid-game but didn't miss a beat in racking up their ninth 40-plus score of the year against the Warriors in Gosford on Sunday.
The Tigers were riding high after downing the Dragons and Origin-ravaged Panthers in successive weeks but were stopped in their tracks by an Eels side that has more than had their measure in recent years, denying them a chance for three straight wins for the first time under Michael Maguire.
The Storm's win pushes them above Penrith into first place on the Telstra Premiership ladder for the first time this year.
The Rundown
Team News
Storm: Christian Welch (head knock) failed a HIA during Origin I and must pass through protocols if he is to play but the Maroons prop is more likely to sit this one out.
That loss would be more than covered by the scheduled returns of Kenny Bromwich (ribs), Nelson Asofa-Solomona (suspension), Ryley Jacks (concussion) and Brenko Lee (calf).
Wests Tigers: Centre Adam Doueihi (head knock) is expected to miss at least a week after failing a HIA during the loss to Parramatta.
Outside back Tommy Talau (shoulder) is yet to have a return date pencilled in while five-eighth Moses Mbye (knee) has a shot at a comeback from injury and forward Thomas Mikaele (knee) is also hopeful of resuming.
Key match-up
Jahrome Hughes v Luke Brooks: In two teams that have been fairly disrupted this year, their two wily No.7s have been ever-present. Hughes' progression as a playmaker in the past two or three years almost defies belief while Brooks's form has improved sharply since he was being heavily criticised earlier in the year.
Stat attack
Among halfbacks, only Panthers co-captain and Blues star Nathan Cleary (1259 metres at 114 per game) competes with the two No.7s on show in this clash when it comes to running the ball this year. Hughes (1340m at 103 per game) and Brooks (1170 at 90) are first and third on this list.

Winger Ken Maumalo will have a target on his back when he lines up for his second successive match against Melbourne but for different NRL clubs.
Maumalo played his final match for the Warriors last round against the Storm, and will line-up against them for his new club Wests Tigers at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Saturday night.
The match was originally scheduled to be played at Melbourne's AAMI Park but was relocated north due to the COVID-19 situation in Victoria.
Despite Melbourne posting a convincing 42-16 win over the Warriors, Maumalo proved a thorn in the Storm's side by scoring three tries.
He's only scored two hat-tricks in his NRL career but both have come against the Storm.
Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy says his team will be going all out to prevent a third.
"Ken's a very talented player and dangerous with the footy - right from his first run last week we didn't do such a good job with our contact on him so hopefully we can improve that and hopefully he doesn't score three tries again," Bellamy said on Friday.
"The Tigers got a good player there but also he will be keen to make his mark there in his first game."
While Maumalo has been in sparkling form, Melbourne's own attack has been firing.
Their haul of points against the Warriors was the eighth time this season they've scored 40 points or more.
It took their total points after 14 rounds to 472 which is the second most by any team in history at this stage of the season.
Bellamy said there hadn't been a shift in mindset but they had adapted well to the new NRL rules designed to speed up the game, and he felt they were playing to the strengths of their players.
"It wasn't a change in mentality in how we wanted to play our footy," Bellamy said.
"But when we saw the rule changes and interpretations to the rules we had to make some changes like every team did and our guys seem to have handled that well.
"To add to that, this year with some of the new players we've brought in like George (Jennings) and Reimis (Smith) they might be a bit more attack orientated.
"We want to use players' strengths and make sure our game plan does that."
Melbourne have welcomed back props Christian Welch (concussion) and Nelson Asofa-Solomona (suspension) while Tigers playmaker Moses Mbye is set to return from a knee injury.
