Collectively as a club, in 2021 we are kicking at 64%. Which is atrocious.

Paps is 24/29 - hitting them very well pre-injury and a very respectable 82.8%

JAC is 1/1 and 100%
Munster is 15/29 and 51.7%
Nicho is 1/5 and 20%

So since Paps has been out, we are 17/35 and 48.6% :shock2:
Smoothy has had a couple of cracks at 'em as well, is he in the positive?

23 tries each to Suli and Foxx in 2017 suggests mostly wide tries that year

I think we cant forget the middle and sometimes we do

So many times we go wide when as Nelson showed on the weekend, we can overpower up the middle.

we need to continue to vary up the attack

the Raiders pack is going to have their hands full if our forwards play up to their ability.

Hughes' kicking game has improved a ton since the end of 2019 and Paps has showed promise with his goal kicking in the few games this season but it's pretty wild to me how we're able to be as good as we are without a natural kicker in the squad.

the goal kicking could still cost us in the big close games this season.

the next player who comes to us from another side should come with the proviso that they are an excellent goal kicker

Melbourne had narrow losses to the Panthers and Eels in rounds 2 and 3 but have since been in a purple patch of form with seven straight wins by big margins including a 50-point thumping of the Rabbitohs and a comprehensive 16-point win over the Roosters.

If they can keep their streak running and pile the points on against the Raiders they will be the first team in Premiership history to win eight straight games by a 13 points or larger margin. They currently sit equal with the 1998 Roosters and the 1996 Broncos.

Historically the Raiders have their worst record against any opponent v Storm, winning just 14 times from 47 starts. Their record against them at GIO Stadium is slightly better percentage wise with 7 wins from 22 starts, but it is still easily their worst record against any opponent there.

Storm is the only team to have a positive differential against the Raiders in Canberra – and it’s not a close-run thing. They have scored 504 points to the Raiders 352 for an impressive +152. The next best is Manly with 0.

The Raiders are hoping to avoid four straight losses at their home ground for the first time since 2014, but their defence will certainly have to improve if they are to have any hope against Melbourne. They have conceded more than 30 points in each of the three losses.

Storm has won the past three meetings against the Raiders in Canberra but all have been close encounters.

I agree with both of those changes that have been guessed. Then there is no wholesale shuffling of the squad needed - Cooper plays in place of Munster and Booth in place of Grant.

Three soft tissue injuries at training the past two weeks is less than ideal.

We’re going to be super clunky tomorrow even if the forward pack is good. We’re going to need individual talent to win this one. JAC, Olam, Nelson and Smith x2 gotta get it done.

J Hughes and K Bromwich now out (why)?
If we win this week it will be very meritorious
