Round 11 Raiders v Storm
https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/05/15/rou ... y-charges/
Josh Papali'i, Josh Hodgson and Jack Wighton all facing suspension for next week's match v Storm.
Papali'i if he pleads guilty misses 3 weeks, if he fights and loses he misses 5 weeks.
Hodgson and Wighton will both miss one match with an early plea and miss two matches if they fight charge and lose.

Will definitely be an interesting line-up, we are sure to see something well outside the norm... What are we thinking? My initial thinking;
1. Josh Addo-Carr
2. George Jennings
3. Reimis Smith
4. Justin Olam
5. Dean Ieremia
6. Nicho Hynes
7. Jahrome Hughes
8. Jesse Bromwich
9. Brandon Smith
10. Christian Welch
11. Felise Kaufusi
12. Kenneath Bromwich
13. Dale Finucane
14. Tui Kamikamica
15. Tom Eisenhuth
16. Nelson Asofa-Solomona
17. Cooper Johns
18. Chris Lewis
19. Aaron Pene
20. Trent Loiero
21. Brenko Lee / Isaac Lumelume
Assumes Ryley Jacks also misses out with concussion. His one didn't look good either... Munster, Grant, Papenhuyzen, Smoothy, Jacks, King (?) - All out.
Johns on the bench seems like an odd choice, especially with how far back in the pecking order he seems. But the logic is, our entire backline (1-7) is made up of outside backs. Rather than carry another outside back on the bench, if during the game we have an injury to a back, Johns slots into the halves and Nicho shifts to wherever is needed. Our bench then still has two props and a backrower. I assume Kenny will spend a little time at 9 again when Brandon has a spell, but adding Johns also gives us the option of having Hynes slot in the 9 for some time.
If somehow Ryley Jacks passed the concussion protocols, I'd go;
1. Nicho Hynes
5. Josh Addo-Carr
6. Ryley Jacks
17. Dean Ieremia
Fingers crossed for the latter.

Yeah, clearly having another specialist hooker would be ideal... I'm just not sure of the rules around players outside the Top 30 getting a run. The below article states;
https://www.theroar.com.au/2021/03/03/n ... -deadline/TheRoar wrote:Development players will be able to be picked in NRL teams from round 11, where previously they couldn’t be selected until after June 30.
Players from outside of each club’s top 30 will also be available for selection from round 11, where previously they were barred altogether unless granted an exemption for injuries.
nrl.com doesn't even have Booth as a Development player with us in 2021.

The Raiders have taken the early guilty plea on charges for Josh Hodgson, Jack Wighton and Josh Papalii. Joe Tapine, Sia Soliola, and Ryan Sutton are all expected to miss another week meaning Canberra will look light on the middle. Wighton’s spot will most likely be taken by one of Matt Frawley or Sam Williams. Jarrod Croker and Jordan Rapana are both due back against the Storm.
