Sunday 25th April
Kick-off 6:15pm
AAMI Park

4th vs 8th

ANZAC Day game - Probably my favourite regular season game.

Warriors haven't been travelling too bad, so we will need to take this game seriously and aim up in the physical battle.

Papenhuyzen mentioned today he could be touch and go this week. Looks like we're going to be cautious with him as he's not even been named.

Yep - best to give him a rest. He has a very big season ahead of him.

We now know that Cameron Smith’s shoulder injury last year was much worse than the club divulged at the time. Let’s hope Ryan’s is more minor.

Nicho Hynes is an adequate replacement, and it allows Dale to slip onto the bench and perhaps play 20 minutes or so - perhaps 10 minutes either side of half time .

Still no Brenko Lee, and I see he went off with HIA last week in QCup. Perhaps he is unavailable - or Craig is happy with Reimis and George . Another big test for George this week, with the Warriors gun back 3 all playing .

Injury update
We caught up with Football Operations Coordinator Ryan Hoffman who delivered some good and bad news about our injury list.

Ryan Papenhuyzen has been ruled out of our round 7 clash after he sustained a shoulder injury during Friday night's win over the Roosters.

"Paps unfortunately did a number on his shoulder, he will be out for a week or two," Hoffy said.

"He's tough and we don't expect he will be on the sidelines any longer than two weeks."

Brenko Lee was playing some strong footy in the Q cup but has suffered another calf injury.

"Brenko has injured his calf which is disappointing and no doubt frustrating for him," Hoff said.

"He had been playing well for our feeder club but he'll be out again now for a few weeks."

In good news, co-captain Dale Finucane has been named in our extended squad for round 7.

"He still has to get through a few tests before game day but fingers crossed," Hoffy said.

"It's also good news for Darryn Schonig, the initial fears were that he'd done his ACL but he hasn't.

"We will give him a few weeks to rehab it and see how he goes."

Refuse to believe we don’t have a better goal kicker somewhere on the roster better than Munster.

Jack Howarth went off after 52 minutes last weekend and did not return , and has not been named in QCup

I was watching the game and he just seemed to disappear from the field. It wasn't obvious to me that he was injured. The sideline commentator said they would follow him up. I didn't hear them say anything after that. Although I turned off at full time.

Agreed. Paps has been hitting them pretty well but Munster cannot be the next best. He's shocking.

I’d have thought Nicho would have a good boot - pure speculation because I’ve never seen him kick for goal.

He kicks well, kicked in a game or two last year.
