Said on the broadcast that it was a shoulder and he could have returned if needed.

A burner apparently. Wasn’t risked in the 2nd half as the game was under some control at half time...

Great game by the boys. Although, Craig won't be happy with the last 5 or 10 minutes.

Good to see Dale back.

Can't see George Jennings playing on Friday. Could we see another Victorian debut for the Storm? Dean Ieremia scored a double in Queensland Cup.

Second half was so stop start.

It didn't matter in the end and we were called for like 3 more 6 agains afterwards but I can't believe Cecchin gave them a 6 again from Kane Evans just offloading the ball in hope and it hitting one of our defenders who had no idea what had happened.

The late tries were annoying. For such a solid defensive team we do give up some very simply tries. Communication seems the issue.

I thought that JAC was very rocks or diamonds last night. The ball handling with Olam and Fox was not up to the usual standard e.g the pass between Fox and Welsh was just bizarre.

We have changed our style, we win by offense not defense now.

As for JAC, 2 tries is a good output. Ill take that any day.

Not so sure about that.
We have let in second least points so far this season. Fix our right side defense up and we win the only 2 games we lost.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

I feel like we do that often. We set ourselves up for a big win and then concede a late consolation try or two. It really takes the shine off what should be great victories.

Jahrome in that first half was simply unbelievable. When he broke the line, sensed the inside man was covered, took a quick glance out wide and then put that kick in (off the outside of his boot whilst on the run) for Jennings to score... just beautiful.

He had a few kicks last night that highlighted how much more comfortable he's getting in the 7 jersey. Dude has worked his ass off to become one of the best halves in the comp. With his improvement it allows Munster to just be Munster.

Controversial Will Chambers photo after Storm win riles Sharks fans

MAY 1, 2021

news.com.au (with Fox Sports?)

Sharks fans have questioned Will Chambers’ decision to pose for a happy snap with his old Melbourne Storm teammates after Cronulla was pumped 40-14 on Friday night.

After an individual performance interim Sharks coach Josh Hannay described as “hot and cold”, Chambers was photographed standing arm-in-arm with players from the club he helped win two premierships.

The 32-year-old made his Cronulla debut in the familiar surrounds of AAMI Park in Melbourne but Sharks supporters were left wondering where his allegiances lied after this post-game picture was shared on social media by the NRL.

“I hate this,” wrote one fan. “The way he played u would think he had a purple jersey on,” added another.

“Ooft,” replied a third fan. “Tough to see that after getting belted.”

Chambers said pre-game the combination of his NRL return coming against his ex-club made the game “nerve-racking as hell”.

And it seemed nerves got the better of him as he finished with a mixed bag performance.

Chambers had the tough task of lining up opposite brutal defender Justin Olam and the game’s fastest man, Josh Addo-Carr.

That’s enough to make any player a little shaky – even a 215-game veteran.

He ran out to a standing ovation from the Storm faithful paying their respect to the two-time premiership-winning centre.

Chambers made a good start to the clash. He pressured Melbourne halfback Jahrome Hughes in the opening set and the usually composed No. 7 kicked a bomb out over the sideline.

He also out-leapt several Sharks to secure the ball off a chip kick and save a try.

But the Origin and Kangaroos star had a few moments he’ll want to leave in Melbourne. He turned the ball over in the Sharks’ own half and also knocked on when Olam came in low to hit him right in the guts.

Chambers finished the night with 56 metres off seven runs, 10 tackles with three missed and two errors.

Hannay said Chambers would better for the run after a clunky performance.

“He had some good touches and worked hard but he himself is his harshest critic,” Hannay said. “He just spoke up then about how he had some moments in the game that he’d like back, just a couple of errors.”

The headline before clicking on the article, is “Controversial photo riles NRL fans”.

Is it though, and does it really?????

Virtually every RL player in history who changes clubs, poses with their old team/friends for pics. Storm does it and there is “outrage”

Of all the f*cking dumb NRL stories run, this one ranks... eh, somewhere in the middle I guess.

You think if Reimis Smith got a photo with his ex Bulldogs teammates any Storm fans / NRL fans would give a single f*ck?
