Round 22 - Cowboys vs Storm
Friday 04 Aug 2017
7:50pm
1300SMILES Stadium
Team List to be released this afternoon...
Question marks over Munster and Tohu in terms of injury. Hopefully something like this;
1. Billy Slater
2. Suliasi Vunivalu
3. Will Chambers
4. Curtis Scott
5. Josh Addo-Carr
6. Cameron Munster
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Jesse Bromwich
9. Cameron Smith ©
10. Jordan McLean
11. Felise Kaufusi
12. Tohu Harris
13. Dale Finucane
14. Tim Glasby
15. Kenny Bromwich
16. Nelson Asofa Solomona
17. Joe Stimson
18. Brodie Croft
19. Jahrome Hughes
It is a shame that Hughes will unfortunately miss out. He has been electric for us.

Medial is typically 6 weeks. Injured in Round 18 so that puts expectations at Round 24 for a return. But then why was he named in Round 20? They either didn't know the extent of the injury or were playing funny buggers with the team list named. There were also other reports of a shoulder injury. Who knows.
An injury report from the Storm that covers Tohu would be nice...

I would love them to give croft a run in the halves with the cronk but probably won't happen since both are exact similar playersblazza18 wrote:Despite his form, they'll probably go with Jacks over Hughes if Munster misses a game, right?

Jahrome Hughes demands selection on the back of another cracking game; Slade Griffin does not.
So in my opinion, Jacks in for Munster, Bill to FB, Hughes to the bench, and Griffin out.
By the way, this secrecy re the injury to Tohu is pathetic. He is in his last season with the club after being with us since he was a teenager, he is an important player ( notwithstanding the form of Joe Stimson ) as we aim for a flag, amd yet the club gives us nothing .

Jacks was solid at 6 earlier in the year and I'm confident he'd do a job again. I don't agree with carrying Hughes as a bench utility. Our systems don't really support the inclusion of an 'X-factor' back coming in off the bench. We have enough strike weapons on the park without needing Hughes and an extra bigger body on the bench would be more handy IMO. Also good to have Griffin around in case Cam's shoulder/pec problem gets aggravated. I'm not Slade's biggest fan but I feel he did a decent job against Manly.

No worries , Danger D - we can just agree to disagree re Hughes/Griffin. I am looking at Hughes as backup for Billy or indeed Jacks , and if Cam has an issue then Bill and Kenny could share dummy half with Jahrome to FB. However your viewpoint is just as valid, so let us see what Craig decides. All this speculation is just a bit of fun.
