Hopefully he plays Scott ahead of Young.
Craig never lists the team 1-17 as it ends up being and is usually just a copy and paste job. Hopefully he sees sense and plays Scott
I reckon Billy wont play this week though, even if he gets through origin given then a 6 day break to broncos game, so would be 3 games in 9 days issue like Cronk.

Yeah, not too sure. Our typical game means that our bench is almost exclusively for middle forwards... Our two edge backrowers have been playing 80mins. Finucane plays between 55-70 mins. Add to that, Jesse at his best should be pushing out close to 70mins.NevilleB wrote:What's the deal with stimson? Has he been injured. He was doing well at the start of the year.
We need big boys coming off the bench being able to play strong, relatively short bursts through the middle.
Given our forward rotation, this is probably a good year to carry a true utility on the bench. At least one that can provide some spark around the ruck... Geez, what energetic, young player could fill that role?

No Ryley Jacks ( the Herald Sun said last week he was in doubt for the Cowboys game ) and still no Nate Myles which is very disappointing. We would want him to come good soon- he will be needed for the Eels game ahead of Origin 3.
Here's an idea. Regardless of the named team for this weekend, let the team (that's actually going to play) train together all week and let them form as a cohesive unit and leave out / rest the big guns. Danger game for sure but nothing as dangerous as a team coming together on Friday and trying to work out their combinations. It has shown with us year in year out, we look all disjointed after Origin matches.

must be hard for our spine of 1,7 & 9 to form a combination over a couple of days when they have only plaid 250+???? games together, plus SOO and internationals, especially when they have the 6 in camp with them and arguably our strike centre there too. The 9 also has to link with the NZ captain and also a current SOO prop to get the pack going forward. they ball playing halves have to link with probably two of the top 5 wingers in the league. jeez its difficult to form these combinations overnight!!
We had a number of untried combinations in the game last week, and won. these combinations and process were not put together last week but in the pre-season and week to week training. as we are told over and over again everybody in the team knows their role, its just a mater of performing that role.

Thanks Sallymay. We will really need Ryley back for the Eels game, pre Origin 3.sallymay wrote:So apparently Joe had a shoulder injury kept him out last week...is back in reserves this week
Nate is a week away
Ryley jacks has groin injury is being monitored will be back in a week maybe 2
How would general Storm fans know about this. The club no longer gives the fans injury reports or open training sessions times. They seem not interested in anything else but memberships and getting bums on seats on game days. They could give a little back
I still remember them not officially confirming Slater did his shoulder again for almost a week. Really shitty policy they've got.
Would expect we rest Slater this week no matter what. Think they'd love to rest one of the other two as well.
