MELBOURNE Storm’s Cameron Munster and Joe Stimson have escaped serious injury after being involved in a scooter accident while on holiday in Bali.

The pair will return for the Storm’s pre-season training in mid-November sporting a few scrapes having come off hired scooters while holidaying with teammates in the tourist mecca.

Munster suffered a series of facial lacerations after colliding with Stimson’s bike on a busy street, and had posted photos of himself to social media with a bandaged head before later deleting them.

Stimson – a 21-year-old back-rower who is yet to make his NRL debut - picked up a minor hand injury in the accident.

Both players have since returned to Melbourne safely along with their teammates, with the Storm’s football manager Frank Ponissi confirming the pair did not require hospital treatment and are in good spirits.

“They were both just going along and some bloke opened his door,” Ponissi said.

“One suddenly stopped and the other one went straight into the back of him and they both ended up on the ground.”

“We’ll just monitor Joe’s hand, our medical stuff will handle that. It will restrict him for the start (of pre-season) but that’s the only injury at this stage.”

The rookie forward from Temora in Country NSW is still expected to join Bellamy’s first grade squad when they return for training from November 10.

Stimson is tipped to push for a top flight debut in 2017 after being named as player of the year for feeder club Sunshine Coast Falcons, while star fullback Munster is being considered to shift to the No. 6 jumper vacated by Blake Green.
