MELBOURNE Storm has rubbished rumours swirling today that star halfback Cooper Cronk is in doubt for tonight's NRL blockbuster with the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.
The Queensland Origin No.7 has been in commanding form so far this season and has been a vital ingredient in the premiers' unbeaten start after three rounds.
Cronk leads the league for try assists and line-break assists and has added two tries of his own.
Reports emerged today suggesting Cronk could be a late scratching through injury, but Storm football manager Frank Ponissi laughed off the speculation.
Melbourne are raging $1.42 favourites to extend their hoodoo over the Broncos ($2.92) and the loss of Cronk would have heavily swayed betting markets.
"He's absolutely fine. There is no truth in that rumour,'' Ponissi said.
"I just saw him and he was fine. He's 100 per cent.''
Ponissi said Cronk even starred in the team's traditional match-day cricket game.
"He killed it in that. His team lost but he hit a few sixes. He's pretty good at whatever he does,'' he said.
Ponissi confirmed the Storm would start as listed although the extended bench will be finalised just before kick-off.

You're always nervous before a game Sal.sallymay wrote:I haven't felt this nervous about a game since the grand final last yr...butterfly's
We'll smash 'em with or without Coops. I was kina looking forward to seeing Finchy get a run. It would be nice to see Coops kick another field goal at Suncorp though, just for traditions-sake.
