If it wasn't a testimonial then they would cancel it due to rain

Typical Brisbane weather.
Never lived in Brissie, have you?

Absolutely not typical Brisbane weather.

Queensland has two seasons - wet season and dry season.

As do all areas closer to the equator.

No. Trust me I’ve lived in QLD my whole life. Queensland’s two seasons are dry and dryer

Do you suffer from verbal diarrhea as well as on the keyboard? You seem happy to type whatever comes into your head, as soon as it comes into your head, without any regard for actual facts or relevance to the preceding conversation.

Yes, Brisbane has more rain in summer than winter, but you have completely missed the point that - for Brisbane - 150mm over a weekend is not typical. That's the expected monthly rainfall for February - 28 days, not two.

And Deadpool's right; once you get over the Great Dividing Range (i.e. away from the coast) the default condition for Queensland has been drought for many years.

I am stating facts. Monsoons and Cyclones in Northern Australia at this time of year are common. You have the perfect conditions for the perfect storm; pardon the pun. A tropical cyclone needs two main ingredients: a cluster of thunderstorms and a warm body of water – at least 27ºC – from which the storm gathers its energy. The warm, tropical ocean under a developing storm evaporates then condenses to form clouds, releasing heat throughout the process. The conditions are perfect this time of the year.
