Found this snippet in amongst a lot of New Zealand news.  Confirms that Liam Foran has not yet signed and his comments indicate he may stay at the Storm if the player positional moves would give him a shot at the number 6.

But Foran says he hasn't given up playing No 6 for the Storm.

"I'm happy down at the Storm and I love being part of this club," he said. "Cooper Cronk has obviously re-signed with the Storm but if there's a chance of me playing at No 6, I would have to look at that and would be happy to stay."
Ahhh McGahan; you've done it agahan....

He has signed now.
Herald-Sun wrote: BACK-UP halfback Liam Foran will head to Auckland at the end of the season after signing a three-year deal with the New Zealand Warriors.

Foran, who has struggled for opportunities behind Cooper Cronk, signed the deal on Thursday.

The talented Junior Kiwis halfback has played three NRL games this year.

According to today's Sunday Herald Sun Arana Taumata has been offered a one year contract. The article also says it appears to fly in the face of the clubs no "dickheads" policy. If he does sign and controls his off field stuff he would be a acquisition as he can play.

According to the Storm hour on SEN we've signed Matt Cross from the Gold Coast. He's the brother of Ben Cross.

russel atkin is leaving the storm at the end of the year, off to French Rugby League "Big League Round 26"

it is a bit of a scary trend the storm have, i can see us being the penrith panthers of period 2003, Grandfinal victory until now.

they focused on only signing and paying for the top 13 guys and used scraps to make up the difference of the top 25 and it has shown with them that it dosnt work too well, it is all about balance and a good mix.

but i believe the storm are alot smarter and have alot more individual brilliance and a better coach then the panthers.

Aston looked ok early in the Toyota Cup season from what I saw.  Not sure what happened after that though.

Spot on, the second part that is. I'm not sure what the go was with Aston, what was said and the way it was said make me wonder if there had been some sort of problem but that is pure speculation on my part.

I will say that the football staff and Waldron all talked up Luke Kelly and Louis Fanene. I think it's possible we may get to see Fanene play around Origin time, if not sooner.
