They had Ian Cohen interviewing Matt Geyer with brief words from Bellamy, Bai, Matt King and Glenn Lazarus. Some good looking women in the background as well. Would of been good to hear some of the speeches.

So essentially with the exception of that Quinn putz, our backline is virtually that of the dream team...

TEAM OF THE DECADE:

Starting line-up:
1. Billy Slater
2. Matt Geyer
3. Matt King
4. Greg Inglis
5. Marcus Bai
6. Scott Hill
7. Brett Kimmorley
8. Glenn Lazarus - Captain
9. Cameron Smith
10. Robbie Kearns
11. Ryan Hoffman
12. Stephen Kearney
13. Tawera Nikau

Interchange:
14. Rodney Howe
15. Dallas Johnson
16. David Kidwell
17. Cooper Cronk

Coach: Craig Bellamy

"The selection committee of John Ribot, Frank Stanton, Greg Brentnall and Steve Mascord had an extremely difficult time deciding the final 18 selected given the depth of talent this club has had in its brief but rich history."

I was a little surprised to see Robbie Ross miss out on a spot however i can see the dillemma with Billy Slater, a tough decision to make really. The only other surprise for me was Cronk on the bench but i guess there would've been plenty of guys right behind him on the options list.

I hope those in attendence had a great night and got your money's worth. It would've been good to go however the cost couldn't be justified given my current finances. Gotta save for that grand final appearance eh  ;-)

Yeah theres a lot of quality players that didnt make the team, for instance I thought Danny Williams owned a bench spot, Hoffman was the only one i had the problem with i would have Williams in there instead of him.

I still can't understand Slater ahead of Ross.  If Slater had shown the form he has this year consistently then yes, I think he could be better than Ross, but for mine Robbie should have got the fullback.  I couldn't split Kidwell and Hoffy. In the end I'd have had them the other way and started Kidwell with Hoffy on the bench, and I too think Williams should have been on the bench ahead of Cronk.

Who is the guy who lost his leg in a motobike accident? Is he in the team?

David Kidwell was a ridiculous decision. Danny Williams in for Kidwell, and Robbie Ross extremely unlucky, but I agree with Kimmo, Hill and Cameron Smith, those three were the automatic selections in my opinion.

Don't quite see the argument about Kidwell - he captained his country whilst playing for us, and was a major part of our success over the last few years.  But I don't see the need to pick a halfback on the bench, which is where I would have Williams in - over Cronk
