Cronk Rules, feel free to bring one of those signs up to the cowbell to be displayed all the time if you are making more. :)

Buzz, I agree, one of the biggest issues with me is that Hill and Orford still have gelled. Hill in an interview mid last year said he reliease that Orford WAS capable in leading on the field and that he needed to let Orford do that and most of the times I just don't see it.

Now I haven't seen any half pairing in the comp been given as long as these two have to gell and that's the part that gets up my goat. These two are paid very well yet it doesn't seem like they have or will sit down and get it sorted.

Tigger, let hope that don't happen as it was this management that said the last got it wrong when it allowed certain players to dictate to it in over the past couple fo years.

Weeeeeeeeeeeell I think Matt Orford should stay , we need him and a lot of our players rely on him , I know he is pissing a few people off , and I also realise that it is unlikely that he will resign with Melbourne at this stage. But he has been and still is good for us , and I will be sad to see him go if that turns out to be his decision. What I am having trouble with however is all the name calling that is going on!!! I cannot believe that people are so quick to condem a little man that as at times single handedly got this team on track , have a look at some of the past games we have played and see how many times Matt Orford has got and well deserved the MOM award.
I know when he came from Manly to Melbourne he was virtually unknown , but so was Kimmorley and Slater and Smith and oh the list goes on , players move forward and get better as they get more experience , and if Matt Orford did not have the natural talent that he does have , then the best coach in the world could not make him good , and now he wants to test his worth , he well may go to Souths , but can we not give credit where it is due , and thank him for all he has done for the team and the elation he has evoked in a lot of supporters....more than once???
I think Matty Orford is a great player , a bit unfortunate to be around at the same time as the likes of Johns and Kimmorley , but he has been great for Melbourne and we should appreciate that !!!

i like how people are quick to jump to the defence of orford...but when hill gets bagged for like 3 years ...noone says anything :?

orford is a good player no denying that, he has helped us win many games. but everyone forgets when he stuffs us around....and we are most likely going to lose bell now because of orford holding back on contract talks and wanting more money, its all well and good when you want to get more money all the luck to ya, but when it means the team losing players then thats not all well and good  ...so we have to lose one of our best centres because he wants to get upto $500,000 contract? he is also inconsistent every year when it comes to contract talks/ and SOO time ...now that is frustrating!

kimmorely left us and people are pissed but remember atleast kimmorley got us to and helped us win a grand final.

yeah but he doesn't seem to think the same of us.

As bad as Hill has played (or not played) the last few years, I think he's one of the most loyal players. He only went to test the market to see his worth a few years ago. I wonder if his contract's injury clause is still in effect. Y'know, that 70% games in a season for the first few years of his current contract that he has to play in to secure the last two years of his 5 year contract.

this year has defiantly been his best years...but how can you blame him for not playing well...previously..with all his injuries and shifting of halfbacks would be hard for anyone.

Until we find a replacment, we still need him, and don't tell me Cronk, as I don't think he is quite up to it at the moment

well that has nothing to do with how he plays footy, fair enough you might think he is rude..but he does everything right by the club...

and i totally disagree.....ive spoken to him a number of times and always seemed nice.

wouldnt blame him for being rude to some people...the way they carry on about him, all because a few mistakes on the footy field.
