Maybe Orford said he will be - but Bell was not offered adequate room here.

Please tell me you are not serious on this statement.... Bell has always indicated that he was 'shopping' as he believes (like Reynoldson did) that he needs to play for a team in NSW to be noticed for Rep footy.

I think some people need to split the number of issues that are now in this thread. as I believe that due to the nature of one allegation it is clouding the others.

Oh, and I'll leave this about SUCH a loyal player to the CLUB

MELBOURNE Storm will make a last-ditch play to retain halfback Matt Orford today amid revelations the star playmaker may have accepted a loyalty payment from Sydney millionaire John Singleton last year.

Singleton was the driving force behind the unsuccessful bid to secure a NRL franchise for the New South Wales Central Coast.
It is believed Singleton paid Orford up to $80,000 in a major play to secure the halfback. Orford was reluctant to comment on the claim last night.

"Obviously being from the Central Coast I was keen to explore that option if it had been admitted to the NRL," Orford said. "But I've really got no comment. I've heard endless rumours about my career over the past 12 months and I'd just prefer not say anything at all."

Now I have said a large number of times that there IS an agreement bewteen Singleton and Orford, but the one thing I wasn't aware of was this allegation above. If correct, can someone expalin to me how only ONE person at the club is stopping talks and the re-signing of Orford.

He wanted to go home if they got a team. That I could have handled, and understood. If Singleton paid him, then Singo is a bigger dick than I thought, as Ox was always going to go there if they got a team. No surprises there, and completely understandable that he wanted to go home to his family.

One thing I read the other day was about wanting to return to his partner up there?? That certainly wouldn't help matters either.

However, talks between Souths and Orford continue and the Rabbitohs are also interested in adding Ross and Storm back-rower Glen Turner to a forward pack bolstered yesterday by the signing of Roosters hooker Stuart Webb and North Queensland prop Jaiman Lowe.

GT is someone who has been forgotten too. He's been really good this year. At the start of the year I couldn't see him making our side without injuries, but now he would have to be in there on form

Turner/Inglis could be more utilised on the wing, and Jake's kick returns are becoming stronger and stronger. Of course, they normally interchange throughout the game between wing and centre as it is.

EARL and LR, Inglis is not a winger. He is a Centre/Fullback

If boofa still there
1. Billy
2. Boofa
3. Inglis
4.Kingy
5. Webster

If Boofa retires
1. Billy
2. Turner
3. Inglis
4. Kingy
5. Webster

Like i said Inglis is not winger, He is at best at either Full Back or Centre.
DEAR STORMWARING(C), PLEASE LEAVE!!!

ross- souths , storm and sharks are all chasing him. souths have ALOT of money and will throw it at ross at first chance. sharks also have a bit of money and need a good foward. Storm have money....im not sure if it is alot, it could be if we lose orford and we need a forward, ross is meeting with storm on sunday (tomorrow) thats the last i heard.

orford- will most likely tell us where he is going on monday or tuesday

Sharks just picked up Darren Mapp from the Broncos. Will they have enough money freed up to get Ross? Who are they losing apart from Stevens?

they have already lost these players for next year

andrew lomu (radiers- mid season) Michael sullivan (Warrington wolves) , David peachey (widnes) Kieth galloway (Tigers)

they have re-signed David simmons and Reece William , so they would still have a fair bit left ild think.
