He worked very hard to make it into first grade - didn't debut until he was 24 or 25 from memory, but has been a solid contributor over recent seasons. He even got to wear a QLD jersey which must have been such a great honour... Deserves a pay day. Best of luck Tom!

That is awesome news. Now we just need Munster signed up long term. The future looks very bright here

Nothing official on our website yet. Gilbert Gardiner is reporting it in the Herald Sun. In principle agreement reached with the contract to be lodged with the NRL for final sign off.

"Bellamy was disappointed in his side’s ill-disciplined performance in the spiteful loss to Manly and is wondering whether a change would be of benefit to himself and the defending premiers"
No quotes from Bellamy just made up crap.

What is going on here? Seriously? It's time Craig did say something publicly.

Bellyache has put everything on hold and we are told it is because he had a bust up with his manager.

Meanwhile the team is inconsistent at best and poor at worst after smashing it last year when they were almost unbeatable.

Meh. I doubt he is going anywhere or even entertaining it seriously.

Probably just another example of off-contract person and Broncos/Storm using each other to get the best possible deal from their current club.

Why would he leave, honestly?

1. He is going to get the same money here.

2. Broncos have sacked Wayne once, looks like a second time on the cards. On the flip side, he has a job for life here.

3. Yeah, Broncos are allegedly offering him an extra year, but is he really concerned by that? His message has long been whether he has the personal committed to be able to keep going. Contract extensions have never been a concern here.

4. He has the football department, support staff and reserve grade players that he has either hand-picked, or had a say in here.

5. Out of sight, out of mind. If he goes to any other club, the scrutiny by the media and the expectation of instant success will be there.

Pretty simple choice really...

Always remember NRL journos barely have any credibility and will throw any headline up just for clicks..

This all feels like Bellamy's agent/manager looking to get more money out of the Storm.

I thought the hold up in re-signing with us was that Craig and his agent split and that presented issues in Craig negotiating directly with Melbourne... at least until they worked something out.
