Also, is todays Queensland papers, McClean deal is about to be announced. I am really angry about this one. Harris, Procter and McClean, without Storm they would not have the careers they have

I think McLean and Harris will be successful outside of the Storm system. Particularly Harris. McLean needs to continue to improve and reach consistency. It is disappointing that McLean won't repay the Storm for all the club has done for him, but that's footy I guess.

Proctor on the other hand is similar to Adam Blair IMO... Received huge accolades for average to slightly above average performances in a purple jersey and then went elsewhere on big money. At least Proctor won't have the Sydney media holding him to account.

We have agood track record with the ex Tigers players but I guess they're well known for letting talent go.
Never heard of him but love the name.

We need a new policy two major injuries and we don't resign you nothing personal it's just business because if we pick a player and he is fit we will make him a great player. Players don't seem to care if we stand by them when thing get tough. As an investment we have lost a lot of dollars on some players that the club waited and supported the club didn't think of the money they were loosing when you have salary cap tie up with no or little return. The "L" is only to the mighty dollar and that's what makes the big 3 so big not always about the dollar all of them have taken unders to stay at the club one time or another.
Not a winge just facts.

We are going to have a LOT of cap space handy at just the right time PLUS the cap increase. The management are clearing the decks and have something up their sleeve. The fact we are privately owned means that the club is not letting them go without a fight, or letting them go because there are bigger plans! Now the storm is all about return on investment, McLean wasn't doing that

After losing Harris, adding McLean to the list just makes it harder to swallow for me.
We lose two skill forwards and Jordy was just starting to come good.
Guess that's the price you pay.

A lot said here and pretty close to how it is...almost. Players do care & the L doesn't always go both ways...stay for unders and still get dudded, promises broken & all the rest. None of you will ever know how hard it is to keep putting your faith in something that indicates one thing but doesn't deliver...and not just in the money stakes either. Feel for Kev - hope his move brings him all the other things that are important to him. There isn't one player who isn't grateful for what the Storm has done for them, that made big sacrifices for that opportunity and at the end of the day are expendable. After a few years of promises not upheld (still not talking money) you'd possibly move on too. Or if you realize that what happens to one can happen to another. Please don't judge without knowing.
At the end of the day, it is a business & Storm will always attract talent...if there's one thing they do the Storm has an eye for champions. This year shows the club is in good hands player-wise.

The courier mail puff piece on Nth QLD signing McLean is soooooooo bad.
Cowboys football operations chief Peter Parr finalised talks with McLean’s management in a move that has robbed Melbourne of their most promising young forward.

With all these departing forwards, the signature of Finucane became just about our most important one.

NAS and Welch simply have to get done now too.

Any player that leaves is creating an opening for another to take their place. Unless I hear otherwise, there was no malice in Jordan's decision to leave and the club wouldn't begrudge him for doing what's best for him and his family.
