Quinn started in the 2nd row against Manly at Brooky in 2007. Forgot about that until I saw the team!

Nice first up effort, shame about Slade' injury if its serious.

Young Tonumaipea is in for a big year.

Brief report.
code-jumper Will Chambers made a eye-catching return to rugby league on Saturday night with a fantastic start in Melbourne Storm's 36-8 trial win over Brisbane Easts at Langlands Park.

In his first match back for his old NRL club, Chambers scored the first try with a powerful burst and then set up the Storm's second for winger Mahe Fonua.

The former Queensland Reds three-quarter, who has returned to Melbourne after a short stint with Irish rugby club Munster, played more than half the game for the slick Storm outfit.

Young halfback Luke Kelly was a stand-out with a pin-point kicking game for Melbourne, who crossed for seven tries to two.

What bad luck for the kid, but very happy to read the team did well, especially Will Chambers who I think will be a surprise packet for the team.

I know its only a trial but Luke Kelly must surely have a first grade spot soon. Someone is gonna make room and it's not neccessarily Cronk. Maybe Widdop!
I've always thought highly of Kelly.

I for one was very suprised he re-signed as I felt he was ready to be a starting 7 in first grade (hello Souths). The fact he did re-sign told us plenty about Cronks situation. And if Cronk does re-sign dont be suprised if Kelly has an out-clause.

the engine room must have gone alright in order for the outside backs to get their great tries. hopefully Bellamy was satisfied although I'm sure he saw plenty to work on all fronts..... looking good for the next few years, well done boys =D> .

Thanks for the updates guys. Great to see us starting off well. Could anyone tell me how the new forwards went please? I`m really interested to see how Vave, Greenfield and Garbutt went and whether they were looking promising.
