Home venue for Storm TBC
According to http://www.ourfootyteam.com/2011_sgBall_draw.php the Round 2 game has been moved to Perth so our first home game won't be until March 12th.

Given the Storm NRL side also play at home on 12/3 & 19/3 hopefully they get to play at AAMI Park as a curtain raiser game. What a triple header that would be! SG Ball, NYC & NRL! ;D

This kid Pride Peterson Robati is an amazing talent. I watched him play this season and i am expecting big things from him. He has a good head on top of his shoulders.
Post by some-one at LU, his manager (former test coach Frank Endacott) also thinks he's the best player in his age group in NZ. Only a month to see what the fuss is all about.

Edited to add he is 2 years younger then alot of these players so obviously that will need to be taken into account when assessing him.

The Melbourne Storm SG Ball squad have returned from their Christmas break and are counting down the days to round one following last week's first intra-squad trial game.

The current squad of 37 has been further reduced following the trial as the season approaches quickly, with many positions still being hotly contested within this talented group.

The annual SG Ball camp in Anglesea is fast approaching, with a further intra-squad trial to be held on January 29.

A final trial match will be played against the Riverina Academy in Albury on Sunday February 6, with the competition commencing on February 19.

The Storm has drawn some tough opponents for season 2011 but have the advantage of playing five games at home.

Perennial title contenders Parramatta, Roosters and Newcastle are all in Storm’s half of the draw, while there will also be some tough road trips to Western Australia and Wollongong during the first few rounds.

Another challenging season lies ahead for the Storm however they will gain confidence from their efforts in the pre-season and the strong winning culture that exists within the club.

The current SG Ball squad is listed below:
Fenika Amataga, Evan Apiti-Civcic, Louis Billich, Jackson Brenchley, Dillon Brittain, Hayden Butler, Dane Chang, James Desaxe, Ray Ertl, Solamon Faalogo, Aleki Falepaini, Herschel Gideon, Cameron Hansen, Evander Jackson , Tremaine Jensen, Richard Kennar, Wayne Kennedy, Steve Liki, Eddie Maka, Jose Makai, Brandon Manase, Romia Matangaro, Sean McKee, Adam Millgate, Casey Moors, Jesse Parete, Steve Pesamino, Pride Petterson-Robati, Aaron Presnell, Redeem Saleupolu, Phillip Salue, Henry Sang-Yum, Naseri Seve, Darcy Smith, Vai Tauatevalu, Stevie Taurua, Tala Titi

Need a dose of Storm related Rugby League
If you're free this Saturday, the Storm's SG Ball squad are having an intra-club trial match from 10.30am at Sullivan Reserve in Blake Street, Preston. The coach Kim Williams would love to see as many fans get down there and support the under-18 boys as they prepare for what we all believe will be another successful season.

Questions

Has the final squad been announced yet?

How many of the players percentage wise are:
1) Born in Victoria
2) of those who were not born in Victoria, how many were raised there?

You can add Herschel Gideon to Vic raised players. His Under 20's profile on Storm website says:
Herschel was born in New Zealand but has grown up in Melbourne and learned to play the game with the Waverley Panthers in the local VRL competition. He made an impression at club level and was picked up by Storm for the 2010 SG Ball season.
