a few people on here and a few other forums have said it will suck to have a colarless jersey ..well the jerseys are for the comfort of the players......i dont care no colar or colar..aslong as it fits and makes the guys happy ..then there is no prob withit...

The way Nike does it for England is the players jerseys are collarless & all technical but the retail ones are your normal rugby jersey with collar.

I would prefer Reebok to do it that way, I'd rather have a jersey that looks good than have one exactly like the players that doesn't.

I think this is going to affect the effectiveness of the move considering the main reason was to sell more product. Jerseys next year will be down without collars IMO, especially considering the feedback on here and over at LU.

Maybe Storm and Reebok need to revisit the idea??

Exactly, it's just like a T-Shirt but at ~$160.00 it's a pretty expensive T-Shirt.

It makes it look too much like a soccer top IMO.

Also, without a collar some pubs won't let you in.

i got all them and the very first one..that has the triangle logo
*scratch head*
The Nike top usually came with no badge attached :(
Some people got the badge loose when they bought the top,or they 'requested it' from the NRL in Sydney
if anyone has a photo of the original Nike jerseys, can you post/email it to me? I'd like to make an icon out of it. Be great if someone can show me the extremely rare white jersey as well.
Think I can manage that :)

Don't doubt it !
There was quite a bit of drama with Nike/NRL over the first run of tops,as the 'original deal' was with Super League & Nike claimed that adding the embroidered patches was not in that deal ?
That's why early purchasers were told to contact the NRL office in Sydney & the patches would be mailed to them. The girls who got stuck with this task did a great job =D>
I still have the 'extra' they sent me.

 So quick to jump to conclusions, I don't get on the drink much these days and on the rare occasion I do it's always someone elses money going down the drain (gotta love corporate boxes :drunken: ). Paying for booze is a mug's game.

Still like to be able to wear my jersey when I'm playing pool with my mates though. Then again some NZ pubs don't let you wear a Storm jersey anyway, collar or not

Incidently, the collar change was something the club specifically asked Reebok for rather than a Reebok initiative.

It might just look a little something like this

At this stage it is doubtful that it will be available before Christmas.
